Hyvin keskeisellä sijainnilla. Ainoastaan ensimmäinen kerta alaovesta pääsemiseksi ennen avainten saamista aiheutti hieman pohdintaa kun summerilla ei päässytkään yläkertaan.

We arrived at night and unfortunately found the self check-in process confusing and difficult. The building has a very industrial layout with multiple staircases and hallways, and the directions were not clear. We were told our room was up one set of stairs, when in reality we had to navigate three sets of stairs with our luggage. Once we finally found the room, it was adequate, but the bed was not very comfortable and the pillows were extremely flat, which made it difficult to get a good night’s sleep. For a self check-in property, especially one where guests may be arriving after dark, much clearer and more detailed instructions are needed.

Very close to city centre, lovely architecture and surrounding stores and restaurants. The property was lovely once inside and upstairs, the room was nice and the AC was great. The bed was comfy and the amenities in the room were a nice touch. As tourists, we struggled with the street parking as Expedia misrepresents it as having “free onsite parking” (we will be contacting Expedia). Michele was kind and helpful over the phone but we didn’t meet any staff during our stay which was different than other b&bs we’ve stayed at. On our second night, the front door lock was broken and we didn’t feel the safest coming back at night although there is a second locked door on the upper floor. Expedia also misrepresents this property as a ‘Hotel’ which we specifically filtered for as-well as the “free parking”. We realise most of our frustrations belong with Expedia and our limited understanding of Italian, but we believe that the owner should be aware of how a third party is advertising their property and correct any clearly large errors. Our trip cost us more than we budgeted for due to the not free parking.

Overall positive stay

The check in was fast and easy. The owner was very friendly and welcoming. Location is also pretty good with many restaurants nearby and close to station and central Catania. The room was clean and neat. It included a mini fridge, TV and aircon. The price was not too expensive, so overall pretty good.

No parking, not as advertised!

We chose a hotel with free parking, as listed in the hotels.com site, when arrived we realized that the hotel has no parking at all, we where forced to find parking in Catania's center streets (not an easy task) and risk that our car will be towed. When talking with the hotel owner about it,showing him that the voucher mentioned explicitly free parking he said "this is the website problem, not my problem " - extremely disappointing! Besides that the hotel was fine and staff were nice.

A entrada do prédio é escura e suja. Fica bem próximo a praça do Duomo e a Via Etnea.

A stay in Catania

The room was very clean and comfortable. Parking was difficult because it’s only street parking and it’s the downtown area, so it was a bit stressful. The hotel is on the 3rd floor with no elevator so it’s a bit of a rough climb with large luggage. Staff was nice and there is the convenience of luggage storage. You are right in downtown so just a couple of minutes away from all the sights.

Very confused about what to think of this place. Check-in: there is not a check in desk, so they will email you the day before check in to find out what time to expect you. Then we had to call the # listed on Orbitz, a man answered and said someone would be there in a few minutes. Shortly after that we were checked in by a very nice woman. She was great and helpful. The location is strange. The bed & breakfast is actually located in a large apartment building, The main hallways were dark and dirty, definitely a turn off. I believe they own the whole 2nd floor. The rest is occupied by other businesses/residences. We arrived around 6pm at night, the street seemed a little sketchy but not terrible. BE AWARE THERE IS NO FREE PARKING. Orbitz needs to fix this on their site. One of the major reasons we booked this B&B is because the listing said free parking and we had a rental car. Instead, my husband had to park on the street and pay at a local parking post. Not too expensive- 5euro for overnight parking. But just a big inconvenience that we weren't anticipating. Overall the room was clean, people were nice. I wouldn't stay here again, I think there are better quality hotels for the price in Catania.
