- Stay cancellation guarantee for Lockdown = In the event that you have to cancel your stay due to lockdowns issued by governments in the 30 days prior to check-in due to the evolution of the Covid-19 pandemic: national lockdown Italy; local lockdown in Italy concerning the area in which the booked villa is located ("red" area or impossible to reach due to official restrictions on free circulation); national lockdown of your country of residence; local lockdown in Italy in the Municipality or in the area of residence.

In front of the splendid sea of Castro, picturesque seaside town on the Adriatic side, nestled in a pretty bay close to Otranto and Santa Maria di Leuca, in a happy strategic position with a breathtaking panorama, stands Villa Soleluna, immersed in a large private park of Mediterranean scrub with dry stone walls and terraces adorned with olive trees, maritime pines, agaves and myrtles. The large furnished terraces allow you to have moments of relaxation and conviviality while admiring the splendid colours of the clear waters and the fishing boats from sunrise to sunset. With its rustic appearance, given by the stone cladding, and perfectly integrated in the surrounding nature, the interior of Villa Soleluna presents a simple elegant style, with soft tones and pastel shades, and some hints of the vibrant colours of the sea. A small flight of stone steps leads to a second entrance on the main road from where you go directly down to the sea.
Interior:
The property consists of two adjacent residential units. In the MAIN HOUSE the entrance leads to an open-plan area with living room, dining area and open kitchen, and direct access out to the terrace with sea view. In front of the entrance is a double bedroom with ensuite bathroom with shower while past the dining area is another double bedroom (facing the pine grove) and a single bedroom (with an extra single bed) with sea view sharing a bathroom with shower. The ANNEX, reached down a few steps from the level of the main house, is accessed through a large glass door which leads into a living room with kitchenette and dining table. From here a few steps lead up to a spacious double bedroom with direct outside access, served by a bathroom with shower. Air conditioning in the bed rooms.
Park:
Villa Soleluna is surrounded by lush vegetation and the characteristic terraces with dry stone walls typical of the area, enriched with aromatic plants like the very fragrant myrtle, with olive trees and large maritime pines. In front of the house is an area with two terraces overlooking the sea, skilfully created to experience moments of relaxation and refreshment; in the smaller one, covered by a pergola, is a characteristic wooden table for dining outdoors, even during the hottest hours of the day. Slightly below is the larger one surrounding the swimming pool, equipped with sunbeds and deck chairs, wooden benches and a rattan sitting area; a large umbrella provides shade to the table in front of the annex, ideal for outdoor breakfasts. Just beneath the steps that connect the two outdoor areas is a convenient bathroom with WC and washbasin. Adorned by wonderful olive trees, near the infinity pool is a large Jacuzzi tub suitable for four persons. The villa has two entrances, one with a convenient parking area and the other with access to the coast road to go directly down to the sea.Please notice that photos are taken in spring, therefore flower blossoming, and the colours of the gardens' grass could be different at the moment of your arrival at the villa.
Swimming Pool:
The infinity pool is located in a perfect position to enjoy the breathtaking view and total privacy guaranteed by the surrounding vegetation. Rectangular with one curved side, and measuring 8.5 x 3.3 m with a constant depth of 1.30 m, the pool is lined in PVC with a stone border and has chlorine purification and 3 steps leading down to the water. On the surrounding solarium area are sunbeds and deck chairs, an umbrella and two relaxation areas divided by splendid olive trees. A few steps away is the Jacuzzi tub (for 4 people) with sea view. The area is served by a shower and a bathroom. The swimming pool is open from the last Saturday of April until the first Saturday of October.
Pets: Yes, small size. € 50,00 per animal per week to be paid on site. Acceptance of animals to the facility must be previously authorised by the owner upon communication of the number of animals, size and breed.
