"Wow what a great hotel. From the minute we checked in to the moment we left. The staff could not do enough for us. So friendly. Nothing was too much trouble. The rooms were great. Large and recently refurbed the food was great. We loved our stay there. When we return to Ireland we would not stay anywhere else"
"The hotel is located in the center of this small village. A easy 10 minute walk from the train station. The train station is very basic with a platform and a small covered sitting area, for when it is raining.
This village has only two taxi's so planning through pre-booking is a must. On the day of our check-out, even after pre-booking, traffic conditions almost side-railed our next leg of our adventure. The hotel's receptionist, I forgot to ask her name, was very instrumental in getting us another form of car ride so we could make our connection. This is just one way this hotel made our stay in Cahir great.
The hotel's lyft was out of order and all rooms are located on the two floors above the reception. My wife and I have not been very successful in knowing which essentials to pack, so our suitcases are the large ones, that weigh close to the airplane's 50 pound max. On the day of our arrival, painting was being completed on the stairs leading up to all the rooms.
It was becoming a chore for me to get up the stairs with our overloaded bags, until the two gentleman painting the the stairs, stopped their work to help me carry our bags up to our room.
Breakfast is awesome and one must order from a set menu. Not steam table food but a plate of food that requires the server to use a pot holder to serve the hot meal.
The bus stop is approximately 100 feet outside the hotel's door.
Thank you for a great stay. We will be back.

"Justin, while nice, changed the property the day of the reservation without explanation. He sent texts to me while I was traveling. There was no time or option for me to rent another space for myself and my family.
The unit we stayed in, I saw when booking and chose not to book. The unit we were given was smaller than what was booked, not as well furnished, and needed repair. The upstair’s shower actively leaked thru the kitchen ceiling, light fixtures were broken and would malfunction leaving one in the bathroom in the dark, one of the bedroom windows was missing a handle and could not be opened, the kitchen faucet was difficult to turn off, and the entry lock was difficult to function, one of the beds continually collapsed and the entry door/frame needed repair. The place we stayed was clean, but had many issues and needed repair. I feel this rental was a case of bait and switch.
The first night, we did not have heat which was my fault. I turned off a switch to plug in my phone charger. Justin noted that we had turned the switch off and should not touch the switch. We recommended that the switch be labeled.
Justin noted that the home was older, and the shower leak never happened before, but as a large scale general contractor that does renovation projects, I could see the leak had been active for some time due to the staining of the ceiling.
I do not expect spaces to be perfect as I tend to stay at these types of rentals, but this house was not what I rented."
Luxurious Country Farmhouse, Idyllic setting with Fabulous Mountain views.
10/10 Excellent
"Main issues was dryer didn’t work, there was a lack of and some was damaged silverware for our group of 6 people, also the tv had streaming apps but due to slow connection was unable to load movies. The host was amazing at working with us and informing us of lots to do in the area and our group of 6 had plenty of space to sleep and privacy."
