Beautiful Spot. Communicative Host

Loved the spot. It is beautiful and love being by the water. Watched the morning from the enclosed patio. Had a great time down at the lakeshore and the surrounding towns. Host was great a communication before and during the stay. Made it super convenient.

Lake Huron in the background was beautiful. The steps leading down to the rock beach was old, shaky, and overgrown with plants. The bathroom inside the house was the smallest I have ever seen. The toilet paper holder was dangling off one of the cabinet handles which was almost touching your knees. We had 6 adults and 4 kids under 10. We alternated the shower. On a good note, the air conditioner worked, the kitchen sink worked with a small leak running, the refrigerator and dryer also worked, but the washing machine drained on the laundry room floor when the shower was being used. We rent a house once a year and this house in poor condition , but our family spent time together watching and swimming in Lake Huron. We made the best of it.

Fall Getaway

Residence is exactly as described and expected. We throughly enjoyed our stay. The weather was warmer than normal and we were able to spend a few days relaxing outside enjoying the lake views. It is a quick drive to town for groceries, restaurants and bars. Highly recommended George’s place for your next family trip!

I love the location! Plus, the host was very understanding by allow us to check in early especially when we are from out of town. This is very important for people who travel far away.

Water view is awesome. Beautiful sunrises

We had a good time and enjoyed our weekend. Sitting outside and enjoying the water view was great. We were lucky and had great weather for October Clean, but we felt inside could use some updating. Communications with George went well.

Very private and peaceful

Our family of 5 had a great stay at the cottage. The property was very peaceful and had lots of privacy. We enjoyed spending time on the water each day. The house had all the needed amenities. The host was always very responsive to questions and messages. We will stay again!

nice weekend trip

We had a great time at this cottage and loved the private access to the beach! The house was clean and the beach was well maintained and fun to play on. George was always quick to respond to questions and very courteous throughout our stay. We would highly recommend this house to anyone who wants to get away for the weekend to relax.

Lake cabin

Its tucked away and has beautiful views. Its like grand-dads cabin. Enjoyed how close it is to a bunch of small towns. The stairs down to the beach is a bit sketchy, but its worth it when you down there. The host was quick to respond and help with any requests asked of him. I wouldnt mind going back soon.

Excellent Property - Beautiful Views

All around superb experience, just as described. The cliff view of Lake Huron was absolutely amazing , the sunrises and moonlight over water 👍👍. The host was top notch, very communicative!!

Great weekend get away!

This was a very nice, super clean comfortable stay. Comfy beds,.great kitchen. Everything you need. Just like home. The stairs going down to the lake are a bit worn and could use an update. But once down to the lake it is beautiful!! Wonderful stay. We will be back!

Great property and amazing view

George’s cabin is wonderful. The view is amazing and having your own private beach is a huge bonus. The cabin is extremely clean and well maintained, spacious and has everything you need. Stairs to the water are a little worn but had no problem getting down to the beach. Just have to be careful. Highly recommend this property.

Summer family vacation

My family thoroughly enjoyed our week away at this wonderful cottage/house. The longer we stayed the more we realized how many wonderful things we appreciated, such as: very clean, very comfortable, very well-kept house, terrific yard (front and back) to include very nice bonfire and patio set, great beach area, no bugs (the owner sprayed), the close proximity to two towns just minutes away, great beds and bedding, and so many more things. It was unanimous that we would consider coming back!

Fabulous!

We use vacation rentals often and This is the Cleanest vacation rental We’ve ever stayed at. Everything was perfect. Comfy beds, the view is gorgeous and we had everything we needed. Super responsive and easy going host. Back yard was a dream, we felt secluded in a good way. Interesting rocks for beach combers and the occasional piece of beach glass too. ☺️ It truly was perfect

Great Lake Family Vacation

This was a great week stay for our family. We had the best beach on the Lake! The place was super clean and had everything you need. We bought our dog. George recommend a great place for day boarding for our dog so we could do a day trip to Frankenmuth! Lots of great places to do day trips with family. My 8 year old love the lake and finding rocks! Anytime we had a question we got a response right away! One of our best vacation! Thank You and will be back! Mary Patty

Great view

A great placeto rent for a breath taking views of lake Huron close to a large Marina and plenty of little stores our group included three generations and we all had a great time the steps r a little worndown but George said they getting them replaced this fall has everything you could want a private beach large yard and it's pet friendly my mother is 65 heavy set and diabetic and she managed to make it up and down the steps to the beach so just take your time on them and you will b fine there was plenty of towels so not sure what all the reviews about no towels was about would of been nice to have the extra cargo space (we packed a whole laundry basket of towels) but not a issue by any means thanks again can't wait to bring just the wife back next time😉😍

Family vacation

My first impression was via communication, which was great! Host was communicative and accommodating to our needs. Location is private and has a decent outdoor space. The view is outstanding and having a private beach, with sand (!!) definitely made the two night stay worth it. Everything else was about average. The home definitely needs updating, a few repairs, and maybe a better attention to detail regarding cleanliness. (E.g., Shower curtain had mildew/mold, damp gross towels left in dryer, found some dishes that were dirty.) The outside may have presented better if tables and chairs were clean and set up to use. We had to personally clean and set them up if we can wanted to us them. The stairs to the beach also are in need to attention. The twin beds were comfy while the queen beds you could feel almost every spring. The house functioned for what we needed but I felt like I was staying at my grandma's friend's house, not a vacation rental. Especially since you are required to bring your own towels to shower. I do think this rental has massive potential and absolutely functions for it's purpose but lacked in expectations I would think of with a vacation rental. This trip was my husband, my 6 year old son, 20 month old daughter, 2 miniature dachshunds, and myself.

Our dates were July 15-19Clean home, nice location, very communicative host who seemed genuinely interested in our arrival and safety. Everything you need available. Only suggestion would be to lighten up interior, fix up steps to beach, have less brush around to obstruct view. Outdoor lights didn’t work on back fence . We may return but we sure didn’t need that many beds with just us two. We booked last minute and were so happy to have direct view ,and location on the lake for our dates. Great place with even greater potential.

Quiet family getaway

Our stay was great! The beach on the property has a lot of rocks, the doggos loved it! We headed down the road for a nice sandy beach for the little ones.Property has everything you need, surprisingly very clean for such an old house. We would definitely return.
