"Great big room with very large comfortable bed. Everything needed in room for overnight stay. Breakfast was excellent with plenty of variety. Walks around grounds and short drive into town centre. Spa was good but a few things not working properly. Food in restaurant was excellent. Would return in summer months. "

"Room was large but definitely needed a facelift/upgrade (and that was considering we had already received an upgrade from the hotel!). In addition, the hotel only opened the day we arrived after renovations (not flagged in advance by either Hotels,Com or the hotel itself !!!) so limited dining and bar options were available so a bit disappointing."

"Nora’s Cottage is amazing, with hosts Sinead and Vincent beyond par. From the moment we were welcomed, to the minute we left, our stay at Nora’s Cottage was a highlight of our Ireland holiday. The Cottage is beautifully appointed and Sinead’s provisions enabled us to enjoy our time there. Sinead’s communication was great and when a heating issue presented at the Cottage, she could not have been more apologetic at the time. However, as a result Vincent was relentless in his ‘quest’ to remedy the situation. Amazing…. We had a comfortably warm night as a result of his efforts. Our only regret is that we hadn’t booked more days to stay, as said earlier, it was the highlight of our trip. Sinead….. Thankyou!!"

"A stay at Lough Bawn house is always good for the soul. It’s a beautifully tranquil place to visit and to relax. Beautiful period house with matching decor and ambiance. Warm and comfortable to stay and read a book while looking out over the lake. Highly recommended. "

The beds were incredibly comfortable, and we woke up each morning feeling refreshed and ready to explore.The location is idyllic. Tucked away in the serene Cavan countryside, it offers a peaceful retreat while still being conveniently close to the village of Ballinagh. We enjoyed walks on the quiet surroundings, It was a true taste of authentic Irish rural life.We can't recommend The Derries highly enough. It's more than just a place to stay; it's a home away from home and a perfect sanctuary for anyone looking to recharge and reconnect with nature. "
