"Caravan was very clean. Margaret was the perfect host who let us check in early snd also put some extra items in the caravan ready for when we arrived. There was everything we needed from all toiletries to an hairdryer. Lovely and quiet area. Also in walking distance to a lovely restaurant/bar called the Waters Edge. We would highly recommend and will definitely be returning."

"If you are considering staying in one of these pods I highly recommend it. They are beautiful, spotlessly clean, cosy and warm in a lovely peaceful spot. The Brown Horse pub also does great food and a lovely breakfast!"

"Relaxing retreat in a good location. Pod was cosy, well equipped including items for dogs and decorated to an excellent standard. The Brown Horse Inn serves excellent food and allows dogs in the bar area. We throughly enjoyed our stay and would definitely recommend booking."

"You really get what you paid for. The location is just 10-15 mins drive away from bowness of Windermere so it’s really a good location. We were able to have a good time and rest as there was less noise as the environment was very peaceful. And to add up, the pod was so aesthetic yet modern. Would highly recommend!"

"Lovely property (second time staying), lovely food, and the rooms are a nice finish with a really good shower! Thought it may have been loud over the bar, but it was quite a quiet night we stayed, so it was not an issue. Breakfast 10/10 and so was the dinner (the pie is fully recommended)"
"We had a nice stay at The Pheasant. The staff were helpful, and breakfast was good with lots of choice.
The pub is in a beautiful setting, about 5m drive from Kirkby Lonsdale.
The room was a good size, and had a comfy bed, although was a bit run down, especially the bathroom, which had peeling plaster, damp and cracks. Toiletries were included and good quality."
"Whilst this hotel had lovely clean rooms and nice staff/food etc, I picked it because according to hotels.com, it had onsite secure parking and a lift.
On arrival, we found it hard to park and were told there wasn’t any onsite parking and that we should use the train station or wait for a spot to be free in the area. Also, I have some mobility issues but as the description said there was a lift, I thought there would be no problem… however when we arrived we found that the lift only goes up one floor and we were on the third floor. The hotel was full so we couldn’t change rooms."
