I think the most memorable thing about our stay in your condo would have to be the smell of urine and wet dogs. It was not immediate however, it took a few hours for the carpet deodorizer to wear off, but when it did, that awful stench of urine and wet dogs hit us like a brick and stayed there for two days. I should have expected it when I saw all the visible dark stains in the carpet upon opening the front door. Incidentally, after having read the reviews about this condo and its odor of urine and animals, Ifelt the need reache out to vrbo in an email with two distinct questions. "Does the condo smell of urine?" Does the condo smell of animals?" your response was "the carpets are cleaned and should not smell" I followed up with "should not" smell or "does not smell". You didn't respond... so not knowing if they did in fact smell, I took a gamble and lost. They smelled.
But was just as memorable as the urine and animal smell was the construction company doing a complete remodel on the condo that shares a wall next door to the one that we rented. Each morning they would pull up at 8:00am blasting 80's music as they banged on the walls, pulling up floors and ripping out cabinets and flooring. All while they communicated by yelling from one floor to another. Needless to say it was a challenge to sleep past 8:00am each morning. I called the number you provided on the last day to ask if we could extend our check out time by two hours because of the lack of sleep. I was told you "unfortunately, could not accommodate our request" so we packed up and prepared to head home. We did however get a call from someone saying that we could check out at noon, but our cars were already packed and new plans were already in place. I thought about posting a public review but I believe everyone deserves a second chance. Get some helpful feedback, make some changes and adjustments and become the envy of the neighborhood! I wish the owner, vrbo and vacasa the best and hope they surprise and delight all of their future guests. :)
