Carmel Valley gave me the gift of stillness and beauty. From the apartment’s little garden, the mountains opened wide before me, a view so magnificent it felt otherworldly. Wind chimes drifted through the air like something heavenly, carrying a sense of peace you can’t quite put into words. The apartment itself was cozy and sweet—close to the charm of Carmel Village, yet nestled in a quiet place that felt worlds away. And Jen, the host, brought a warmth and kindness that made it all the more special.

Up in the hills, gorgeous view of Carmel Valley and greenery from nearly every window. The studio does overlook the owner's backyard (which is spectacularly landscaped, replete with water features, vines, fruit trees and plants galore), though the owners seemed to stay out of sight. Only downside is the view of the neighbor's house, which demands the kitchen blinds remain closed to maintain privacy. The studio is charming, well decorated and has super soft sheets and a comfortable bed. The back patio is a glorious place to unwind, sip your beverage of choice and listen to the multitude of birds.

Lovely little cottage

This little cottage was perfect for our stay. Cozy, clean and comfortably. Loved sitting on the deck with my morning coffee and watching the hummingbirds. Beautiful views.

Gorgeous mountain view!

Beautiful quiet mountain location. Clean, safe, comfortable with pretty decor. Sitting in the sun on the balcony and looking at the amazing view is so relaxing. Owner is really nice and helped me out when I had a travel problem. Easy drive to many parks and hiking and shopping.

Perfect Property in Carmel Valley

Stayed at the casita for a week while riding motorcycles at Laguna Seca and bicycles in Carmel Valley. The place is cozy well stocked clean and beautiful. The gardens, patios and views are amazing. Cannot express how nice my stay was.

Beautiful views and relaxing getaway!

We had a wonderful visit relaxing and enjoying the beautiful views from our room and garden! The studio was perfect for two people and very close to some quaint and delicious restaurants. It is also not very far from Monterey. We enjoyed our three night stay and would recommend to any couple wanting to get away for a romantic weekend!

Nice quiet getaway

This place is perfect for a quick relaxing stay that is very friendly for dogs. She has two outdoor patios for this cottage that are perfect for small or mid-size dogs. We arrived during the hottest day of the year so we spent the majority of our time in Carmel but the evenings were tolerable with a cool breeze blowing up the hillside. The view is phenomenal and the little terrace facing the valley is perfect for reading or relaxing in the morning with a cup of coffee. Location is convenient to local stores and restaurants as well.

stunning, serene, and a perfect little getaway

my now-husband and I stayed here during our wedding in Carmel Valley and this beautiful studio will forever be part of our memories of our wedding. It was the perfect place to wake up after our celebration and take in the day and the views. The studio is cozy, airy, and the views of the valley from the patio did not disappoint. We also had our two dogs with us for the weekend and it was so special to be able to include them in our wedding weekend.

Amazing hideaway in the valley

Perfect spot for a quiet break from the city. Though small the studio gives you breathtaking view of the valley. I could just sit down and stare out. And Jenn’s garden is a haven for the red-throated hummingbirds. Add to that — it’s dog-friendly. Would definitely be back!

A slice of heaven in Carmel Valley!

Jenn’s hospitality was nothing short of exceptional, and the view was equally as incredible. The room was cozy and set up perfectly, and the garden below accompanied with Hummingbirds galore- which was the cherry on top for me. It was peaceful, comfortable, and clean, and Jenn had some great suggestions for places to eat in town. I wish we had stayed a day longer, already missing the atmosphere! Thank you Jenn!

Great Stay

Studio was just as I expected. Clean, comfortable and cute as a button. It was stocked with everything I would need while there and the views were amazing! Make sure you have a way to get around easily. Hard to get an Uber here, but other than that a great place to relax and enjoy nature for a long weekend. The place is light and airy with lots of windows and incredible views. The balcony is a great place to capture the morning and afternoon sun or watch the humming birds buzzing around. Carmel Village is close-by and we took in Carmel-by-the-Sea and Big Sur. Would highly recommend and hope to be back. 😊😊😊

Idyllic Escape

This is such a special place, we will hopefully be back again in the future. Perfectly tucked away in the hills of Carmel Valley, once you're there, it feels like you could be somewhere very remote for how peaceful it is. But it's very accessible to the goings on in other parts of Carmel Valley or even going out to Carmel-by-the-Sea, Point Lobos, Monterey, etc. If we could have stayed a month, just watching the hummingbirds and listening to the windchimes, we would in a heartbeat. Also so appreciative of pup friendly!

Beautiful Location

The little cottage is filled with light and has everything you could need during your stay. The owner’s gardens are beautiful as is the view, at least most of it. The patio out back is a nice place to read and enjoy your coffee. If you are looking for solitude in nature you may be disappointed as the neighbor’s house has direct sight lines into your windows and the owners home is just feet away. Since neither the photos or the description make this evident I wanted to mention it for other solitude seekers. . Also the cottage is attached to the garage so every time she leaves or comes home you can hear the garage door and the dogs barking. That being said, the bed is super comfortable and it is very quiet other than that. I didn’t mind it all that much. I just wasn’t expecting the proximity.i felt a bit unwelcome due to the owner’s lack of response to an emergency that came up although she made it clear later that the only time she checks for messages is at night. She also was pretty angry that the website charged a lower rate and that I should have paid more. Not my normal VRBO experience . Not bad, just different.

Breathtaking Views!

This is a very cozy cottage with lots of outdoor spaces to take in the views. The host that lives next door has an extensive garden with hummingbird feeders all over. Also, there is no traffic around. It is very peaceful! The bed was very comfortable. There is no air conditioning, but you didn't need it! Although, the space heaters did a great job heating it up in the cool mornings. The only negative, if you plan to do ANY cooking the kitchen is bare bones. There are not a lot of things in the kitchen. Just one dull utility knife and some various pots and pans and some very cheap silverware. There was no outdoor grill. Also since there is not a lot of room, a few hooks on the walls would help with coats, etc. and a light in the closet would be helpful. We were using our cell phone flashlights to see inside the dresser (which is inside the closet). Other than that, the place was perfect and very close to a lot of great hiking! We would definitely stay again!
