Nirvana at its finest.

This lovely well cared for home is exactly as described and pictured. We enjoyed every moment we spent here. It is perfectly located just off the highway between Carmel and Big Sur. Just far enough tour of town for a tranquil and peaceful stay….Nirvana!The home was exceptionally clean with high quality linens and a well furnished kitchen. The owner checked in with us to make sure we had everything we needed for our stay. There were no issues with the house, everything is in excellent condition but I’m sure if we had needed anything the owner would have taken care of it quickly!Oh and the view from every room was spectacular!

We had a great stay in this ocean view house. The house is located in between Carmel and Bug Sur which was ideal for us. Most beautiful hikes followed by breathtaking ocean views at home. Will definitely be back!

Absolutely amazing stay!

Not only were the property and the ocean views stunning, but the property owner (Hirsh) communicated quickly and checked in on us half way through the stay to make sure we had everything we needed and were comfortable. Hirsh went above and beyond by coordinating an anniversary surprise to be set up in the house, and he was more than happy to help me create that memorable moment. Would definitely rent the property again! Thanks, Hirsh!

Best Girl’s Trip Home

We celebrated my 30th birthday and were blown away at how perfect the home was for the occasion. We enjoyed our morning coffees on the deck or on the bench in the living room that overlooked the ocean. Every bed was so comfy. The whole place was extremely clean and accommodating. I wish I could live there honestly, it was truly perfect. Oh and the neighborhood is amazing and the best for long walks.

The Perfect Sanctuary

My friends and I had LOVED our stay at this home. It is just as beautiful as the photos, with exceptional views (where we even saw a whale in the ocean just as we hung out in the living room!!), comfortable beds and couches and everything you could possibly need in the kitchen - including organic cooking oils! Hirsch was an exceptional host and truly looked out for what we needed to make this a great stay for everyone, and communicated very well and quickly. The home is in the perfect location - close to drive to Big Sur and just 10 mins away from Carmel town. I would absolutely stay here again.

Beautiful Carmel Home

This is the perfect home for visiting the area. We celebrated my friends 50th birthday and Mothers Day weekend here. Everything is 10-15 minutes away, Point Lobos, Carmel, Pebble Beach, and Big Sir. The home is decorated beautifully and well stocked with everything you need! The views are amazing! Hirsh, our host was super easy to communicate with. We enjoyed our stay, thank you for sharing your home with us!

One of our all time favorite VRBOs!!!

What a gorgeous home, with amazing views, lovely interior, and very well equipped kitchen. We enjoyed sipping our coffee and looking out at the ocean every morning. Our host, Hirsch, was AMAZING! He made check-in easy and was super responsive and helpful. He even sent us chocolates because it was our anniversary! This truly was one of our favorite VRBOs of all time and we hope to be able to return soon!

Great location and views!

My husband and another couple rented this property for a weekend. The location was great. It is about 10 minutes from the town of Carmel. We spent some time in Big Sur which was about 30 min south from the property. The home was very clean and equipped with everything we needed to make for a comfortable stay. The kitchen is well equipped. Communication with the property owner was incredible. He was very responsive and helpful. I would definitely recommend this property to others and would definitely stay here again if coming to the area.

Didn’t want to leave!

Spent a wonderful end of summer get away with my daughters in this lovely property. Hirsh, our host was very responsive and helpful, offering many suggestions and welcoming us with a box of special caramels. This comfortable home was impeccably clean and well stocked with everything you could need and was furnished and decorated beautifully. The ocean views were spectacular and the location was just perfect for our visit to Carmel and Monterey. With so much to do in this area, we would love to come back and explore more. Wonderful!

We had a wonderful stay! The hosts was incredibly communicative and made everything seamless from start to finish. They provided local recommendations- everything from food spots to must see attractions. Our family of 5 felt extremely comfortable throughout the stay, and the home itself was cozy and perfect for relaxing after a day of exploring. One of the highlights was definitely the stunning views- waking up to the scenery each morning was a treat. We had a fantastic time and would gladly return!

Carmel Family Trip - July 2025

The Nirvana by the Sea home was just as gorgeous with the most amazing ocean views as the photos show! One of the best parts of our family trip was waking up each morning and seeing the beautiful ocean views throughout the house. And as all other reviews have commented on, Hirsh is also amazing in providing detailed info and answering all questions in a timely manner! My family and I truly enjoyed staying at this beautiful home during the 4th of July week. Would definitely stay here again and highly recommend! Thank you again Hirsh!

Stunning view in Carmel

We enjoyed our stay. The home is mid century modern that’s recently been remodeled. Big views of the Pacific Ocean/sunset. Great location and responsive host. Will book again next time I’m in town.

Best rental in Carmel

We come to the Carmel area 1-2 times every year for the last decade and this has been our favorite rental house we’ve ever stayed at. The home was even nicer in person than the photos. It felt like staying at a private villa in a luxury resort. Everything has been provided. We really liked that the main area was kept with some of its original character, while the primary suite and 2 bedrooms have been beautifully redone. Although the May gray weather of California didn’t grant us any sunsets, there is a perfect view of it on every level. The upstairs office couch is the perfect nap spot BTW. Hirsh was very quick to communicate and a really generous host. He even sent us chocolates on our birthday and offered to extend our checkout time without prompt! We can’t wait to come stay again!

Location… Location… Location!!

This property has it all. The views from every single room are absolutely stunning! The owner is very responsive both before during and after stay. I cannot say enough about him. He was absolutely wonderful. The property itself has been renovated, and the interiors look like they should be on a magazine cover. I asked him and he said he did it himself, which is very impressive. It is both completely comfortable and breathtakingly fashionable. I used to the kitchen and cooked. It had everything you could possibly need including spices. Morning coffee on one of the numerous decks is the thing that dreams are made of overlooking the Pacific Ocean. It is literally five minutes from point Lobos and 15 minutes from downtown Carmel. This would be perfect for a family that was in town for a wedding or as I was on a writing retreat. It was so quiet and peaceful. This property would also even be good for children. It is absolutely perfection. And the price cannot be beat! I will definitely be back.

Stunning property, amazing location and views! :)

The property is amazing! Beautifully presented, the owner has really put a lot of love and soul into making it a “home”- welcoming, cared for, extremely clean and the decor is stunning! Bright, airy, light- the views are breathtaking and It feels like you’re home when you walk through the door at the end of a day of exploring all the wonderful things to do - this is a perfect location for Carmel, Monterey, Big Sur and several of the incredible State Parks- truly a fantastic home in an amazing place! The kitchen is also extremely well equipped if you like to cook- the views from the table and Outdoor decks make it tough to leave and go out to eat- so we also capitalized on the opportunity to cook and eat “ at home” several times during the week we spent there. Hirsh, the Host- is an absolute pleasure to deal with- super responsive and so accommodating! I’m not one for leaving reviews- however, I really wanted to share what a lovely experience my family and I had- my scorecard is A+++ for EXCELLENT! 😊 Hirsh- thanks so much- I would love to come back sometime in the future and will highly recommend to everyone! Spectacular stay

Cannot recommend Hirsh’s place enough. It is a great place to stay for all age groups, a quick drive to the city center and has unbelievable views of the ocean. We will definitely be coming back!
