  • Beautiful Victorian home on the iconic Rt. 66 graced with all the amenities for your comfort. Walking distance to the charming Carlinville Square where you can find a coffee house, restaurants and antique shops.

    Our home was built in 1904 and has gorgeous woodwork on the fireplaces and iconic pocket doors with intricate fretwork. This historic home is a luxurious escape back to a genteel time.

    The kitchen is equipped for all your cooking and baking needs, including spices, vegetable oils, selections of coffee and tea as well as paper goods.

    Historic features make this house a gem. Discover the Butler’s staircase and game room in the basement. A wrap around porch has a great sitting area and porch swing to enjoy the outdoors in mild weather.

    Attention to your vacation needs has been provided in case you may have forgotten something at home. The bathroom has shampoo, conditioner and body wash in addition to makeup wipes, hair dyers and feminine products. Forgot your razor, toothbrush or toothpaste? We’ve got that too.
    The TV's can stream your personal online services.
    The spacious private backyard has a fire pit/grill on the patio. Extra camp chairs are located in the Butler’s pantry.
    Each stay will bring more comforts as we are constantly improving the home to bring her back to her original glory. EV charger, level 2. Bring your own NEMA 14-50 compatible cable.

The house is beautiful. A very comfortable stay. It was very clean and well stocked with anything you might need. The host is very gracious. She was quick to respond to any request and reached out to us when we left something behind. We were able to retrieve it before leaving town. It was a lovely place to stay. Highly recommended.

Wonderful historic home

We had a wonderful stay at this property. It is thoughtfully remodeled and cared for without removing its original charm. Each bed we used was comfortable and all needs were well met. The hosts are wonderful and kind. We will be back to this home!

The house was amazing and beautiful! The host was so nice and quickly responded to any questions. She was very helpful. The house was stocked nicely with appliances. Very clean. Overall amazing experience! Will come back!

The home is exactly as described and pictured. Full kitchen with spices, oil, etc - very helpful! Central location is awesome, and you can walk to the Dollar General across the street, which has great grocery options. Beds were very, very comfortable. Lots of helpful notes around the property and extras included, including several blow dryers, etc. Would recommend.

4th of July Fun

We stayed here over 4th of July weekend and it was perfect! We were very close to the town square and a short drive to our family - which is exactly what we wanted. Easy check-in and check-out, clean and comfortable. Plenty of room for 3 families with children ranging from 2-8 years old. They were great with communication and quick to respond. Will stay here again for future family gatherings. Thank you!

The traffic and train noise was louder than I recalled from previous stays. On a positive note, the A/C worked well. The location is very convenient-walking distance to the square and several good restaurants.

Carlinville Grand

The Carlinville Grand is exactly that! From the time we booked until our departure communication was easy and fast. The house was beautiful and very well stocked. The hosts were very thoughtful with their preparations for our rental experience. Walking distance to the square where we found shopping, food, and pubs. We will definitely recommend to others. Looking forward to our next visit.

Wonderful Stay

The house is wonderful and we very much enjoyed our stay! It was very spacious and the character of the house was fascinating. It was exceptionally clean and well stocked with towels, linens etc. We did not do any cooking other than breakfast oatmeal during our stay but there were plenty of dishes. The location was great and made visiting family up in Girard very easy. Arryn was wonderful with communication and very attentive. Overall, we had a great stay and we will definitely look forward to booking another stay here in the future!!
