"This was a very nice spot right by the river. The tent and bedding were clean and insect-free, though also had a strong but not unpleasant floral detergent scent. The shower had hot water (though give it plenty of time to warm up) and the bathroom was clean. We were the only guests at the time which was either good or a bit spooky. Lots of cool coqui frogs which we were able to find with a flashlight singing right around camp! Also heard an owl at night!It's clear the owners are putting...

"We recently stayed at Serenade Punta Cana in the Elite Level adults-only section. The resort is absolutely beautiful, with wonderful tropical grounds, palm trees, and a relaxing atmosphere. Our spacious two-room suite was very nice, but unfortunately the jacuzzi, which we were really looking forward to, stopped working because the water drained out by itself. Our biggest disappointment was the Elite Level pool service. This is supposed to be the resort’s highest level, yet during our entire stay no one came around the pool to offer drinks or provide service. The Elite pool serves only about 40–60 guests, so for guests paying extra for this level, regular poolside service should be expected. The all-inclusive food was also disappointing. I have visited the Dominican Republic more than 30 times and stayed at around 40 resorts, so I have considerable experience with all-inclusive resorts. The overall food quality and selection did not match the standard of this beautiful hotel. The restaurants were okay and we had some good meals, but the general all-inclusive food needs significant improvement. On a very positive note, the spa was excellent, especially our experience with Yoselin and Mary Deysy. Would I return? Yes, I would like to, because this is a beautiful resort with great potential. However, I would hope for better Elite pool service, improved food quality, and properly working room amenities before returning."

"Room was clean and spacious, had a safe fridge & coffee bar. Staff was either hit or miss, hit if they were to be tipped (servers bar tenders masseuse) miss if they didn’t require a tip (check in reception). Birds stalked the pool and outdoor bar, nothing edible was safe. There were a few restaurants and liquor stores across the street. Convenient location!!"

"Attentive and friendly staff from the reception, to the bartenders, to the maintenance. Everyone was more than willing to help and had a friendly demeanor. We tried each restaurant and bar more than once and always had a great to exceptional experience. Pools and beaches very well maintained. Easy access to the night life and surrounding points of interest!"
