Second time staying in the Manor House and again very disappointed. Firstly parking is awful - no permanent disabled spaces outside, you have to park in the main underground car park which is chargeable and a long walk back to the Manor House. Secondly, the room had toenails on the floor, blood on the net curtains and used tissues behind the bed. Disgusting. The view out of the window was onto a roof which was littered with loads of rubbish, old paint tins, etc. Hardly what you would expect of a ‘5 star’ resort. Complained and only offered free parking and a bottle of wine - should have been upgraded immediately. Spa and pools are excellent, but booking system for the pool is ridiculous - allowing a 45 mins session! Staff are very good at waiving this though. There should not be any booking restrictions in place. Breakfast very good, Marta our waitress was wonderful, as were the staff and service as a whole. The hotel is next to a motorway and quite a distance from Newport town centre, so it’s costly to eat out if you need a taxi. Wouldn’t rush back to this hotel unless we had an immaculate room in the main resort.
