Historic and charming home, with outstanding breakfast, and gracious staff with kind hearts! Its the exceptional details of an elegant setting, generous breakfast with extra touches, that make it very special. Homemade pastries, organic marmalades, delicious coffee and honey & nuts to top off the warm home made oats and more. Great beds, linen, and towels..spa standards! Yes, stay here and walk to everything in Sea Point!
Was good overall and would recommend for the non-summer months. Our self-catering unit did not have A/C and was very hot despite having a ceiling fan. Was still a good value but it was moderately uncomfortable due to the heat.
Great accommodation in excellent location - food, service, attitude and everything else was excellent. Will definitely return on my next visit to Cape Town
I felt very welcome and loved the overall atmosphere. The food was delicious, the room was comfortable, the staff were friendly and the area felt safe. Easy access to hiking trails just a few blocks away and downtown was walkable in under an hour (or uber was never more than a minute away). I would absolutely recommend and will definitely stay at the Villa Rosa again if I am back in Cape Town.
Sadly only a night stay but loved it. It is a lovely location, a lovely property. Comfortable bed and very nice room.
Great welcoming host & staff.
Had a great breakfast
Rooms facing the street are rather noisy and room 2 has no privacy as there is a balcony of room 1 right behind the window of the room. Overall, it’s a lovely place and the staff is super nice. It has a very good vibe and the location is superb!
Lovely guest house
Staff were excellent
Especially Chelsea and David.
Very comfortable bed. And great shower.
Breakfast was also lovely
No issues walking around thexarea after dark. Only tiny issue is the noise people make coming in.
Fantastic stay only one comment would be that the walls are a bit thin and we could hear the appt next door moving about and coughing etc.....regardless the location, facilities and balcony were above expectation....we will come back again!
To arrived late, and check in was seamless. Bed, towels, sheets were 5 star ⭐️ quality, as was the delicious breakfast! Can’t say enough on how comfortable and welcome Villa Rosa made me feel! Thank you!! Patti
What I liked. Very convienent location. Room was beautiful. They gave me an extra duvet which was nice. There was a very nice guard at night who would see us to our car and make sure we were ok. The beds were comfortable the water was hot . room was gently heated not over heated. It is on High Level rd which can get busy in the day but it didnt bother us at all. Lighting was a bit dim but we were ok. Would definitely come back.

Disliked: Property conditions & facilities
Quintessentially old school Cape Town B&B, right in the Center of Sea Point. The hosts were friendly and made me feel welcome. I found being in the center too noisy for me but being within walking distance of shops & restaurants may outweigh that for others.
If you want to feel like you’re staying with your favourite cousins, this is the spot. Staff are sweet, owners friendly and helpful. Great communication. Rooms are all different (in a good way) and the breakfast is fabulous. My only suggestion is to offer a laundry option. Tbh they probably would have done so if I asked.
The place has a very good and friendly vibe and very nice attentive staff! My room No 2 was not the best as it has a big window facing the terrace of room No 1 so there is not much privacy. However, it is a very good location with many restaurants and the promenade nearby. It also is a cozy and comfortable place and good value for money! Would stay again but would try a different room.
Wonderful BnB! 5 stars for everything. I had a beautiful, clean, and comfortable room. The view off the balcony is lovely and a relaxing place for a cup of tea in the morning. The location is great — a short walk to the waterfront walkway. The check-in is easy, the property area feels very safe, and the breakfast offering is superb. I also really appreciated the fresh milk in the room’s mini fridge for making my own tea. I will definitely return next time I’m in Cape Town.
