This house is amazing! The views are breathtaking, the house is decorated so elegantly, we never wanted to leave!!
Kate was an amazing host, and we will definitely be back. 5 stars! Hands down.
Great location and outdoor seating options. Very helpful owner. Upstairs sleeping loft did require keeping quiet in living room early in am but there were other options with the second living room in the Annex and the outdoor spaces.
We stayed here with two other couples. The view makes this home a place for good conversation and peaceful contemplation while sitting on the decks. Even our dog was at peace, just chilling, overlooking the property and the sea! Our family had stayed at the house once before and we are now reminded that it is still a gem. You can feel the history of the home and there is an awareness of the lessons the home has taught over the decades. Experiences have been voiced through the art and emotion that the views have surely inspired. Comfortable and restful place to stage a vacation in the York/Ogunquit area. You need to drive to the beach "action" but the house will fill your heart.
We had friends who are regulars in the area stop over and comment that we really got an amazing property. The main house has a large bed in the main room and a loft with a view of the ocean. The other part of the property is so cute and has another room. Our teenage kids stayed in the main property and my wife and I stayed in the additional one. It was really perfect, because at the end of the night, we just walked over to it, even though it has a separate entrance It’s all connected by the deck. The deck is really amazing multiple layers with lots of seating and the sauna is a lot of fun. Staring out at the ocean at sunset is like looking at a perfect picture.
Our family enjoyed our stay in Cape Neddick. The view was beautiful. The decor tasteful and although the kitchen was small it had everything we needed. The location is close to many of our favorite places to visit. We went to Ogunquit, Wells, Kittery and enjoyed many wonderful family moments. We played some board games at night and really enjoyed spending time with our daughters before they went back to college. The only reason I rated it the way I did for cleanliness was that although the house had been cleaned and there wasn’t any dust there was dog hair everywhere. It was an issue because my daughter is severely allergic. It was everywhere, even on the kitchen counter, in the sinks and on the beds and couches. I had to vacuum and wipe down surfaces when we arrived. When I mentioned it to Kathryn she was very apologetic and explained that the cleaning people must have been in a hurry. I think she will address it with them for future guests. She was a wonderful host and the house is beautiful.
This was our first time staying at this house. Our main requirements included bringing our dog, and seeing water. Also, room for 3 couples (us and our 2 kids and partners). We also want outdoor space. This house had everything on our list. There are lovely views from the upper deck, where we had coffee and hung out to read. The lower deck has a large table, couch, and there is an outdoor shower and the sauna. These were all put to good use by the family in the week we spent there. Everyone enjoyed the sauna and shower (although you had to wear your bathing suit unless you wanted to give the neighbors a show).
The inside of the house had a great big living room where we hung out. The yard is unique but provides distance from the neighbors. The kitchen is small, but it was enough for our stay to use for breakfast and lunch.
My son and his girlfriend stayed in the studio. There was plenty of parking.
We felt at home in this house. Very cute decor, open atmosphere, and very close to the ocean. We did have to plan beach visits as it was peak summer, not easy to park and pricey if bringing more than one car, but this has nothing to do with the house - just some advice.
The location was great as we went to Ogunquit Beach, and did a few runs to Perkins Cove for dinner, lunch, and shopping. We also went to York Beach a couple of times, which was very close.
I would not hesitate to recommend this rental to any friends. It's as cute as it looks, and the location is great.
A stones throw from the Cliff House where our friends were getting married. This property was wonderful and the host was responsive and kind. Great view of the water from the balcony and rooms.
Went to Maine for a wedding at the hotel nearby with my family. This was a lovely old but immaculate cottage nestled in the hillside with wonderful views and proximity to the resort. Host was wonderful.
My family and I absolutely loved this stay. The house was so beautiful and the location was perfect for a quiet retreat. The homeowner was so kind and helpful, honestly could not have been better. Thank you thank you thank you
We had a wedding at Cliff House and we couldn't have asked for a better stay at the property. The owners are super responsive and the house is in great condition. It's a beautiful property and comfortably fit our entire group. It's also just steps away from the Cliff House hotel. Highly recommend to anyone attending an event at the hotel or looking for a property in the area!
We've stayed at lots of places over the years. This is one of the best. Beautiful area, beautiful house that was tastefully decorated. Highly recommend. Planning next year already!

Overall, a great place to stay. Surrounding property is beautiful, dining options at the Cliff house are very easy. House furnishing are a bit older, some lights didn't work, I had to plug in the router for internet. Space works well for a small group with basically two kitchens and separate living spaces. Also just has a great feel, open bright and beachy.
We enjoyed our stay at this house in Cape Neddick/Ogunquit. It was an old house with a beachy, cottage feel to the home and decor, yet very clean & had everything we needed. The whole booking and check in process was easy. Kate was always a text away if needed and she made sure she checked in with us mid stay if we had any concerns or questions. The house has a beachy, cottage feel and the smells brought me back to my childhood days staying at the shore. The best part for me was how close it is to the Cliff house resort. We spent most of our time enjoying the restaurants and views at the resort as well. A must visit to Nubbs for their lobster rolls. Best I ended up having while there & trying other restaurants in Ogunquit downtown too. The views are breathtaking and we enjoyed sitting on the back deck every evening. A nice quiet retreat to come back to after a busy day sight seeing etc. The kitchen is small yet was perfect for husband and I since we ate out every day yet used the SMEG coffee maker every morning which was perfect. :) I would highly recommend and stay here when visiting Cape Neddick/Ogunquit area. Thanks for having us!

INNACURATE LISTING in Winter Months
We booked Kate's property to attend a wedding at the Cliff House. The location is perfect, and the THREE bedroom/TWO bathroom setup was perfect for our party. When we arrived at the house, the host was still there cleaning, no big deal. Upon the arrival of the rest of our party, we found one bedroom and bathroom very cold. I messaged the host to ask how to turn on the heat only to be told that bedroom and bathroom are SEASONAL and not operational in the winter. This sent us scrambling to find a place for the rest of our party to stay, making us late for the rehearsal dinner. I called and texted the host multiple times and received zero response. After check in, we never heard from her again. POOR SERVICE.
We had a great week at this rental. The location of the property can't be beat with an amazing ocean view! It is so close to the Cliff House, which was great for walking and use of restaurants and coffee shop. It was also easy access by car to York, Ogunquit, and Wells, but a quiet and private base to return to. The house itself accommodated us well (myself, husband, 16 yo son, and 27 yo son- for part of it). Our 16 year old loved the separate cottage which afforded him privacy from Mom and Dad when needed. Our older son came for a few days and was able to work remotely. We did not find that we cooked a lot at the property as the kitchen is quite small and outdated (it does have everything you need though to prepare a meal in a small space). We found the house to be a mixture of updated (main living room area/dining area and loft bedroom) and outdated/ "cottage" style (kitchen, bathrooms, master bed). This is a property that allows dogs so that was a big plus for us. There is a lot of outdoor space for dogs to enjoy. We also found that Long Sands Beach in York is dog friendly off leash before 8:00 AM, which our dog loved!! Overall, I would recommend this home to anyone looking to spend some time in beautiful southern Maine!
We loved our stay at the us property. The view was gorgeous. Everything was clean and the decor was so cozy and well done. It felt like a true coastal cottage. We loved the feel of the loft bedroom which also had a beautiful view. This property would also work well for a family traveling with in-laws as the additional living room and bedroom have their own entrance, kitchen and bath.
What an amazing home with great views! With two separate living areas and kitchens we were able to have teens on one side and adults on the other! Teens loved to be able to walk to the cliff house on their own and eat at Nubbs. We enjoyed being able to eat at The Tilller as well! Fantastic, easy location that accommodated us all well. Quick drive to the beaches and downtown Ogunquit as well!! Thanks for having us!
