Pleasant enough Staff. Strange location, in the middle of a residential housing estate, with a Lake at the back of the property, with noisy Geese. Reasonable priced for what it is. Very dark and dated decor and furniture. Don' expect too much. Clean enough, but everything is old and tired eg.. tiles, flooring. Breakfast satisfactory. Not sure why its classed as a Hotel more like a Guest House

The hosts were very nice. The bed very comfortable. Very clean bathroom and nice sized room. The breakfast was delicious. Only one slight criticism, the decor needs updating.

I found the pillows and the bed a bit hard, I would have liked a proper shower over the bath and the decor was a bit dated, but the owners were very nice and helpful and breakfasts were superb

Avoid!

Friendly couple, but sadly the quality of the room was dismal. Roomy, but dead insects on the windowsills, dirt on the white skirting. Stained carpet tiles and ultimately a previous tenant had tried to use the toilet brush to unblock the toilet! I will not give you the detail of the state of said toilet brush. I did mention this to the owners. Will not stay there again.

Truely lovely people. I saw them a couple of times wiping down all the banister rails and door handles on my stay, so i felt very safe. They also was so accomadating to me and my children providing more tea bags and mugs to accomadate for us all. Would definatly stay again

Room was kept clean and tidy, breakfast was very nice, the room was very hot and stuffy wasn’t any fan or air conditioning, me and my son are both asthmatic so made it very hard to breath the windows don’t open very wide so couldn’t get much air circulating in the room, would say if you are planning on staying maybe take your own fan, I did ask for a fan but they said they didn’t have any spares, I booked for 2 nights but came home after 1 night as I couldn’t take another night of being in the stuffy room.

Not a particularly good experience, very tatty furnishings, not very clean, very tired rooms Breakfast not bad but walked past kitchen, wish I hadn’t. Think this was more of a hostel than a hotel

The windows were filthy the bed was uncomfortable there was a massive dead spider on the floor in the room which i do not know where it came from the matteress was disgusting under the sheet Also. I booked this room for me and my sister and im sorry to say we didnt end up staying we left pretty sharp ive stayed in hotels for £35 a night and it had way better standards thatn this place

Crap service, walked out without breakfast

where to start ? firstly when i booked an arrival spot for between 4 and 5 i was contacted and asked by the owner if i could wait till after 7pm, when i said this was not acceptable they arranged to get to the "Hotel" as soon as possible this was 30 minutes after i did, now we get onto the "Hotel" part, firstly it is nothin like the picture used, secondly it is neither a hotel/motel/guest house or B&B, it is a private town house, the description of some rooms with balconies completely fabricated, i was shown to a double bedded room, which was decorated in the style of a nursery, it had a chair and a wardrobe, no lock on the door, no TV no tea/coffee making facilities. this room also contained items which must belong to the owners. now to be fair the owner did offer to help me out of a situation that would of arisen the following morning, by going out of her way, but as it happens it was not needed. i woke up in th emorning sending a text at 7.55 letting her know the lift was not needed at 9am, and asked what time breakfast (continental) was served from, a text came back stating 8:30, 8:30 i went down all packed and ready to go, but with no indication of where breakfast was being served, as all doors in the hallway of the house were closed, so i text asking where to go, i had a call saying breakfast would be late because of the confusion of giving me a lift (which she had to be on site to do) causing her to run late, but she knew earlier i was not needing a lift
