Lovely

Lovely pub, staff very friendly. Room is basic but clean and has everything you need. Nice breakfast in the morning. Great value for money.

Great traditional pub hotel, complete with beams.

I really enjoyed my short stay here. The owners were very welcoming and friendly. They cater for different dietary requirements and had some gluten free sausages that they prepared me for breakfast, this was a real treat as I did not warn them before I arrived that I was gluten free. The room is very quirky and has real character. This might not suit everyone, however I really appreciated it. The only downside really is the parking, which although very safe, meant my car was blocked in.

Thoroughly enjoyable

This is a delightful old 14th century pub, the hosts were very welcoming and helpful and we had one of the best English Breakfasts I've had in a long time. Our room was very small but had everything we needed. If I was being picky it was tired in places, the shower wasn't great, the water luke warm and the corners a bit grubby with wear rather than dirt. The beds were very comfortable. My only downside is that it is situated on a very busy road, our room was immediately above and a lot of light came into the room. I am a very light sleeper so this didn't help however for our purposes it fine, much less clinical than a room in a hotel chain, very friendly. I wouldn't let a little bit of quirkiness put you off, and if only for one or two nights I would stay again without hesitation.

B&B with parking space near centre of Canterbury

Ideal for a night. Close to centre of Canterbury and had a parking space.

It’s hard to beat that early 15th century charm! Add to that a wonderful staff, a hearty breakfast, and unbeatable rates, and you have the perfect rest for that long pilgrimage to Canterbury.

Bon rapport qualité prix

Chambre typique avec de charmantes petites attentions (rasoir Bic, tampons...) dans la minuscule mais bien agencée salle de bain. Literie au top mais sommeil un peu gâché par le bruit provenant du bar. Petit-déjeuner typique.

If you love old pubs and a very personal service then this is the place for you. Great staff who go out of your way to make your stay comfortable.

Liked that is was a short walk into canterbury. It could of been cleaner the bathroom needs attention and the toilet kept going off all the time!

Lovely welcome

An ancient pub but with brilliant service. The room was a bit noisy, with the road outside and the window open as well as the fan (it was a very hot night). However, the location was great for what we wanted - and there was a bonus of live music in the bar when we got back from the cricket. The landlord, Mark, was very welcoming, and the staff couldn't do enough for us. I will definitely stay here again.
