A welcome retreat

Lovely little farmhouse on the outskirts of Canterbury. Perfect stop for our young family, comfortable accommodation and reasonable breakfast (I've had better Sausages)

Schöne und ruhige Lage. Nette Vermieterin. Sehr schön um zu entspannen und das nahe Canterbury zu besichtigen. Ein toller Ort und die Nähe nach Dover zur Fähre ist klasse. Nicht so gut fanden wir das die anderen Leute über unsere Terrasse mussten. Somit keine Privatsphäre.

Nous avons été plongés dans l'ambiance anglaise, de la décoration à l'accueil de notre hôte. Beaucoup d'attentions dans l'agencement de la salle de bains, de la chambre, de la bouteille d'eau au thé, à l'aide pour la réservation du diner. Et l'endroit est très calme et magnifique. Charmant cottage anglais, à 4 km du centre et en pleine campagne, calme assuré. On a l'impression d'être un "house guest". Petit déjeuner excellent. Tout était bien sauf les rideaux non occultants (réveil très matinal en été..)

Séjour parfait

Cadre idéal, personnel aux petits soins, à quelques minutes du centre ville. Notre séjour était parfait : loin de la cohue des villes, avec tout le confort, une chambre spacieuse et donnant sur un immense jardin, un silence troublé par un chat qui passe ou un mouton .. Bref le rêve !!

pretty farmouse in lovely rural setting but.....

We stayed for 2 nights to attend a wedding in the local area. The farmhouse is very pretty and is situated in a lovely countryside setting. We received a warm welcome and the staff were attentive and friendly throughout our stay. The choice and quality of the breakfast offering was excellent. We stayed in the Blue Room in the farmhouse itself, a large and bright room with a nice corner bath. The mattress on the bed was firm to say the least. The management must sort out access to the hotel at night as a matter of urgency. We arrived back at the hotel after 11pm on both nights to find that we had been locked out. We had a key but the staff had either put the bolts across (one night) or left the inside key in the door (the other night) thus preventing entry. We did not enjoy the anxiety of knocking on doors and windows and making phone calls in order to get someone's attention. Having alerted staff to the problem on the first night we really did not expect the same problem on the second night. This experience somewhat spoiled our experience, otherwise it was very good.

Very nice farmhouse and well looked after

We had a really pleasant stay at this farmhouse. Our rooms have been rather renovated (‘more than a basic farmhouse), and the hosts David and Sara were very nice people. Every morning we had fresh eggs from the chicken in the farm, and breakfast right at the middle of the garden surrounded by greenery, birds and nothing else. Our 1 year old had plenty of fun and so did we. Gorgeous place and an forgettable weekend.

Comfortable, relaxed country house close to town

Friendly and helpful owners. Comfortable and large rooms with all the extra touches that make staying away easier such as wifi, shampoo, hairdryers and tea and coffee. A wide range of choices of cooked meals for breakfast. Lovely quiet country location, but just a five minute drive into Canterbury.
