The property is nice, it’s newly remodeled and our one bedroom suite was awesome with great views. The water park was also great. But, it’s a smaller resort than we are used to. They only had two restaurants in addition to the buffet. And a BIG negative was the fact that the beach was public. There were so many people not from the hotel using the beach and there are no restrooms provided for them - we saw poop floating in the water. It was very disappointing. Also, zero shade on the beach. Almost no palm trees or umbrellas to provide some shade. There were 4 umbrellas for 200 or so chairs. We will not return.

The manager Armando was super. He was very easy to talk to and he would help with any problem or concern we had. He's the ultimate Manager. Very friendly and always looking to make sure that the Guest was satisfied. If I had a business, I would want someone like him to be the manager. In addition to Armando, there are a few others I'd like to commend. Gemma, waitress, is a hard worker and tries to make sure you're comfortable with your dining. Moses, Bellhop, was very helpful and a very friendly person. He was always willing to help to make sure our stay was enjoyable. As well as JaFet. Very pleasant gentleman and was always there to help with any question or with our luggage. Overall, we enjoyed out stay at Melia Casa Maya Cancun, and would definitely consider a return stay there. Thanks to you all: Armando, Gemma, Moses and JaFet. You made our stay most enjoyable.

Thus resort was so small. The buffet was so small with super small options not alot of fresh fruits. The staff does not know what is going on. My room was booked as the level, was supposed to be bigger and better. It was so small. They need nore staff. They only have one bar outaide with 1 bartender. The wait for check out was so long we had to wait in the super hot lobby for xhexk out. It definitely needs improvement.

This hotel is wonderful. It is not perfect, but it is great. Let me states some pros and cons. I'll start with the cons. The food was a hit or miss for me. Some of the food was very bland like the chicken tacos and most of the food at the Italian restaurant. That restaurant is only open for dinner and a reservation was needed. The service there was bad, too. We waited too long for below average food. It was also really disappointing that the Italian place is the only place that pizza is guaranteed to be available. One of my kids REALLY loves pizza. They did have tacos every night at The Grill. I can only recommend the asada tacos. They were great! The chicken tacos were really bad. No flavor whatsoever. The buffet is also hit or miss, but the are more hits there. Now onto the pros. The restaurant by the beach is awesome. I think we tried everything there and loved it all. At night a reservation is needed, but it is very worth it! I think you do need to be in a room at The Level to get into that restaurant. We had two rooms at this hotel and both had great views. The AC in the rooms was top notch. It felt great to go to the rooms for relief from the heat. The waterpark was a nice added bonus to the hotel, but it was not for us. We preferred the BEACH. The beach really made this hotel the BEST. In the past we have stayed at hotels in Cancun where the beaches are not good. The beach was SO GREAT that we never set foot in any pool. I highly recommend this hotel.

Hotel con problemas estructurales y eléctricos serios en las habitaciones, se rompió el techo por una filtración cayendo agua en el piso mojando mis cosas y con peligro inminente, se resbaló uno de mis hijos. Poca variedad de comida, entre medio de dos playas públicas, poca seguridad. El servicio es pésimo si no eres miembro élite hasta discriminatorio. Inhabilitada las duchas de la piscina por falta de mantención. Calidad precio realmente NO LO VALE. Última vez que me hospedo en un hotel MELIÁ

If you book the LEVEL DO NOT UPGRADE DO NOT UPGRADE DO NOOOT UPGRADE!!! They try to make it look like you are getting a steal but in reality the level comes with perks already except transportation and a bigger room but the room is already spacious without the upgrade. The communication is so BAD nobody seems to have answers to ANYTHING, they all just throw you like a little ball to another person and none of them seem to know anything! Made my whole stay so stressful. On top of it we all came back with food poisoning, the food is not good! The restaurants take forever and so does the bar due to them only having one outside bar. The beach is public so be careful. Over all I would not recommend!

No good! This place was way over capacity when we stayed there. The service could be better - everything is a “no” until you make a fuss about it. The resort itself is nice. Could use more amenities like another bar since service was very slow to get drinks. Resort is very small and not a lot of dining options. Food was below average. Staff were rude & not very knowledgeable. I upgraded to the Level and was told multiple times things that would come with the upgrade were not included after all. Wasted several hours of my vacation to try and sort everything out. One person says one thing and another person says another. Everyone needs to be on the same page to avoid miscommunication and confusion.

Hotel staff at front desk and concierge assigned were not helpful at all. No commitment to expectations. Food at the an Italian Restaurant was not up to standard, mediocre food, along with personnel at this restaurant. On other venues food was OK, not many varieties available. Hotel was nice and clean, room service was great, but not many options.

Hotel and amenities were good. The safe were friendly but many did not know English. Food was not good, especially for the kids. I got th Level, which was useless, even our concierge only communicated through the phone.

The rooms were large and spacious, very clean, amazing views, beautiful property. We loved everything pretty much. Very thankful for your taxi drivers, very trustworthy, had great recommendations, made transportation so easy! Hotel staff was friendly. We did not care for the food as much at the buffet and couldn’t get in to the restaurants very easily. We ate off site most dinners.

Amazing property, very family friendly. Staff was great, Food was excellent, shows were always entertaining, pool was always clean, beach was beautiful!! Only thing I could say is that the AC needs a little work. Also got a bad smell every night for about 10minutes in the room. But it went away. Other than that everything was perfect!! 9/10

Stayed during June 29-July 4 in Melia Suite. We booked this hotel for its location, the beach and water slides since we have a son we knew would enjoy them. Upon arrival, we were greeted with warmth and friendly service. Check in was quick, however it lacked explanation of the property’s amenities. Let’s start with the restaurants. The food choices are very limited. The grill offered the same food everyday. Would’ve appreciated different menus each day. The Italian restaurant was the best among the restaurants I should say. The pizza was the only food my son enjoyed. Our minibars weren’t stocked everyday. We always had to go downstairs to ask for bottle water since their phone in the room to call directly isn’t working. This became annoying but we chose not to make a big deal out of it. The service in the restaurants were great. You can see all these staff are working hard to make sure you are taken care of. I appreciate all the staffs on each restaurant for their service. On the other hand however, the service in the pool is lacking. There are only two servers in the pool which delayed service. The bar had its good and bad days. The service was slow despite seeing three bartenders behind the bar. Overall, this hotel needs a lot of work. We were disappointed in many reasons but appreciate the staff’s hard work. Are we gonna come back? Probably not.

Overall hotel solid 8/10 For kids and family look no further staff are all respectful and accommodating. The food is 6/10 needs more attention to that aspect Not much option with the same every day . Rooms ( level) building is 9/10 Would go back .
