"Lovely property with responsive hosts. The bungalow properties are uniquely whimsical and private. Perfect location outside of the hustle & bustle of Dominical, but a 20 minute drive away. Grocer & restaurants even closer. No A/C but decent fans available. It’s cooler in the evenings “up the hill” from Dominical. "

"This house is truly one of a kind. It felt like stepping into The Croods (the movie)—living in a cave, but an incredibly luxurious one! "This place is amazing. After walking down the stairs, you see the most incredible rock house with built-in spa, open concept living/dining areas, and truly incredible bathroom with heated seat and great shower. We loved spending family time together in this memorable location. If we had more time, we would have enjoyed hanging out in the gazebo over the river. Very excited to return someday."

"Cabaña rústica en un lindo lugar al que hay que llegar con 4x4 por el último tramo hasta la casa. El propietario (Álvaro) fue muy amable. A la casa le hace falta algo de acondicionamiento: no dispone de agua caliente (puede hacer frío) y eché de menos que estuviera algo más acondicionada (limpieza y algún detalle adicional). "Our stay at Vista Paraiso Lodge for New Year's was amazing. The view is super fantastic especially the sunet and the whole place is beautiful since sunrise, many birds singing. "This is a great place, but there’s a couple of things you need to know before renting.First, if you can’t tell from the pictures, only the bedroom and bathroom are enclosed, the kitchen is completely open – no screens. That means bugs – it's Costa Rica after all. No mosquitoes, but beetles, flies, little flying things, and the occasional millipede. You can reduce the insects by not turning on the outside lights at night (finish eating before dark) and cleaning up dishes etc. immediately after...

"We spent a month here and enjoyed every minute. Wonderful location to take day trips to waterfalls or beaches and then returning to peace and solitude. Regularly saw toucans (two kinds), hummingbirds (four kinds), coatimundi, agouti, parrots of all colors, and butterflies galore. Owner is quick to respond to questions and requests. Would definitely stay here again."

"We had a wonderful time here. The birds greeted us with song each morning. We had a great view of the city. Good place to make day trips to the Pacific coast, and the rain forests. There’s a great farmer’s market in town. Our host was helpful and got back to us quickly. "
