Boondocks

Simply amazing and wicked good. Jim is a great host and very accommodating. We arrived after hours and the key was taped to the door. Room spacious and very comfy- breakfast muffin every AM with OJ. Sunrise is worth the trip. He’s open all year long- looking forward to next trip will repeat.

The property was situated very close to Camden Harbor yet away from much of the traffic and congestion in that area. It has wonderful views of Penobscot Bay and was also close to the entrance of Camden Hills State Park which boasts fantastic views of Camden Harbor and beyond. We stayed in Snow Cottage which was clean and spacious and looked to be recently renovated. The breakfast delivered to our door in a cute basket was a lovely and welcoming touch. The landscape around the property looked quite tired though with broken branches not yet tended to. There were also many weeds in the landscaping that could use some attention. We stayed three days and were contacted once about housekeeping and declined on the first morning but would have like service on the other days but did not receive it. The office was staffed for only a short period of time so we could not make any requests for assistance if needed.

Lovely site, convenient location.

Wonderful serene setting. You can view the bay from your room. Very clean, updated comfortable room. Very friendly and helpful owners.

Great place to stay - very calm and the view of the bay from the deck was better than expected. The owner was very nice and gave great restaurant recommendations. I would definitely go back.

We stayed two niights. Room was perfect first night. Poor cleaning for the next day. Continental breakfast was nice, but, no one ever provided clean stuff for the second night. Imaine our surprise to have paid Expedia $15o/night and seeing a $99 special advertised on the hotel’s front lawn. We were the only customers.

Nice Inn and easy ride or walk into town.

My sister and I had a wonderful stay. The room was very clean and comfortable. The continental breakfast that was at our door each morning was sufficient (muffins, croissants, juice) and tasty. The owners and staff were very accommodating and friendly. We are definitely going back the next time we are in Camden.

Good place to stay in Camden

Great area with lots to do. Happy with the suite, and the muffins we received most mornings were very tasty. Close to town, but far enough off the beaten path that you're away from all the hubbub and feel like you are in the mountains. Bed was comfortable, but the pillows were the only negative thing in our visit . . . they were too soft and squishy.

Loved Camden and near by hiking, the Lodge was great, a fantastic value for the price.

Comfortable lodging in Downeast Maine

Lodging was clean and just the right size for the two of us. Enjoyed the chairs & table on the small porch to enjoy the muffins and orange juice delivered each morning! Within walking distance of Camden and just a short drive to Rockland and Rockport. Will definitely stay again when in the area.

Beautiful, tranquil private cottage

Loved this cottage! So pretty and ultra clean with high ceilings, a fireplace, jacuzzi tub, pull out sofa and wonderfully comfy king size bed. The cottage also included a kitchen with a mini fridge, microwave, stove and sink. The cupboards were fully stocked with dishes, cutlery and pots and we loved the quiet kettle for tea. There was also a Keurig and baskets of coffees, teas and milk. The covered porch allowed for beautiful views and was a nice way to enjoy coffee or drinks. A special treat was finding a basket of muffins and orange juice hanging by the door each morning. Management and staff were very friendly and made us feel at home.

On the hill, beautiful view and close to town

We came for a family gathering to go to Vinalhaven. We reserved 6 rooms. Everyone was very happy. We loved having dinner and conversations around the fire pit. We all would stay here again.
