"Parking easy. Also regular (every 20-minutes) bus service right outside, which gets you into town (and also further afield, but we only used it for that). Also, about 15-20 minutes' walk into town. Calne is a nice place to visit. Staff were welcoming when we checked in, but, as we were only staying one night, and had no reason to ask anything, we can't say anything further. There aren't any dining facilities, so you'll need to head into town or somewhere for breakfast (but there are several nice places there)."

" Public areas were good but hotel areas less so, the corridors were a bit dated but my room was very shabby, noisy, above public toilets with hand driers loud and constant, outside was the courtyard area with loud music and people talking loudly. Plus the fumes from cigarettes/vapes coming through the sash single glazed windows. After a long hard day it was not what I wanted or needed. Informed staff member on leaving but they took no details nor said they would inform the manager"

"Just returned from a wonderful Christmas at this gorgeous place. Lovely relaxing stay with great walks from the door, which the dog loved! Great communication before and throughout with the owner, who was so helpful. The house itself was immaculately clean and we loved the quirkiness of the place with all sorts of amazing pieces of art. The house was very pet and child friendly with stair gates, a high chair and travel cot, as well as a cot in one of the bedrooms if you need it. The beds were wonderfully comfortable and the house had everything we needed to be a real home from home. Cannot rate highly enough!"

"Why is the rating so low? Because the photos and the description do not match reality. The listing clearly states that guests have access to a BBQ (as shown on the website), but the real photos do not confirm the presence of any barbecue area. In our messages, we were informed at the last moment that there was no BBQ at all. The host even suggested that we could bring our own barbecue, which clearly shows that the listing was misleading. When I asked, “Are you denying the information on the website?” I was told that the website may be misleading. As a result, 2 kg of meat was wasted. I’ve stayed in various hotels — from 5-star to 2-star — so my expectations were not high. However, this level of misinformation feels extremely unprofessional. When we arrived, several devices did not work. We wrote to the host, and although he eventually came and turned everything on, there were still no instructions and not even a Wi-Fi password provided. There was no kitchen. It was not even possible to wash a plate. Even washing your face in the bathroom sink was difficult. In the corners I noticed spider webs, which made the place feel poorly cleaned. The listing also stated that milk would be provided, but it wasn’t. The hot tub didn’t work properly either. It was extremely noisy, and when we tried to turn it off because we couldn’t sleep, it was impossible. In the end, the only positive thing was a friendly cat that greeted us. "Really enjoyed our week at the Coach House. Very quiet and rural, but good choice of close’ish pubs for food and Chippenham only 10 mins away for any other provisions Friendly welcome and comfortable cottage. But ‘rustic’ in places but suited us very well. It is a working farm so expect a bit of activity but never affected us. Location good for exploring Cotswolds or Bath or Salisbury area. Would go back again"
