Hotel spartano, ma tutto sommato buono. In camera è presente il lavandino, mentre i servizi sono all'esterno. Per muoversi occorre utilizzare Uber.

Excellent again.

I love the area (very local). The staff will help you with anything you need, they are always very friendly and cheerful. They took my laundry to the cleaners a few times. It was my third stay there this month (May 2023) for a total of 8 days. I will definitely stay there again when I go back next year.

Super vriendelijk personeel. Stille kamer. Alles is goed, zeker voor die prijs. Tegenover is de metro. En taxi’s stoppen aan de lopende band. Echt op zijn Egyptisch dus verwacht geen westerse luxe. Wij raden hem aan 👍👍

Front desk couple old employees are good always helpful but they hired a young guy who works at cleaning or serving staff so annoying always ask you for Pepsi your shoes your clothes etc like homeless kid even trying to get in your room look for staff etc.

Non refunding after staying for less days you paid

They don't refund money.Incase you paid for 10 days and you stay there for 3 days your money won't be refund to you.

I always come back to stay at this hotel. The most important thing to me is that it makes me feel safe and reliable. All the staff are so nice, and they have been working there for a long time. Each time I come, they remember me and make me feel like a home. Salah, Sayed, Abdelrhman, Nahed and her 3-year-old cute son. The other breakfast lady, whose name I don't know, has also been working there for a long time. It's good that the manager, Salah, speaks English and helped me a lot. The location is in the center, walking distance to everything. The hotel rate is good, including breakfast.

Overall good experience and I recommend it. The staff are very respectful and helpful. The room met the expectation. The internet is good (most of the time). The lack of toilet paper was upsetting. The area around the hotel is very noisy during the day, and not very clean, but it's also right next to Attaba metro station where you can either ride Green Line 3 or Metro Line 2, it's also 10 minutes walk to Ramses train / bus station, downtown, or the Nile/Zamalik which are also accessible by metro.

The hostel locates in a very convenient location that we can walk and uber to places easily. The man who works at the front desk (about 60-70yrs old), he is a super kind and lovely man. For his help, we can take uber at 2am without cash require from uber driver. On the day we stay, unfortunately, the bathroom didn't work properly. We didn't have hot water, and the toilet was hard to flush.

Bon séjour juste la seule petite remarque que je pourrais faire quand je suis arrivé dans les toilettes il n’y avait pas de papier j’ai demandé du papier pour les toilettes et la personne qui m’a ramené le papier toilette m’a demandé de l’argent j’ai trouvé ça totalement déplacé de demander ça à une personne qui a payé l’hôtel c’est des choses qui ne se font pas c’est la seule remarque que je pourrais faire

Pas d'eau chaude, sale, désagréable, des coups de marteau dans le couloir a 22h30! je suis rester une nuit au lieu des 6 prévues. Le personnel ne parle pas anglais ou fait semblant de pas comprendre. Apres message Silence radio de la part de ebookers que je deconseille également !

立地条件的には女性だけだと不安になるかもしれません。ホテルも決して綺麗とは言えませんが、掃除はできています。宿泊を安く抑えて他で使うというスタンスならいいかもしれません。パスポートのコピーをするから、と一旦預けないといけないのが不安でしたが、ちゃんと返しに来てくれてホッとしました。カウンターのおじさんや一見近寄りがたそうなスタッフのおじさんもとても優しい良い人でした。

深夜帯のチェックインでしたが、歓迎してくださり、非常に嬉しかったです。施設内は清潔で、特に水回りは常に非常に清潔にされており、素晴らしかったです。早朝、案内されたバスルームが空いていなかったのですが、朝早くにも関わらず笑顔で対応してくださり、非常に助かりました。ありがとうございました。チェックイン後も、配車アプリからの電話に対応して案内してくださり、非常に助かりました。とても対応が素晴らしいホテルで、是非おすすめしたいと思います。

Above all expectations.

I'm writing this review on my second visit to the City Hotel and I'll be back again at the end of May 2023 for my 3rd time. Everyone is very friendly. Carlos will help you with whatever he can. When I visit a new place this is exactly what I'm looking for, very authentic (Egyptian) in All ways. The street food in the area is fantastic. It's the only place I've ever been that you can eat for under a dollar. I'll post a few pictures of the food from the place to the left and around the corner beside the coffee shop. The Turkish coffee is also great for 35 cents. Make sure you have Egyptian pounds because US dollars will not work well in this area. You will have to find a bank to exchange them. If you are looking for a place that is English speaking this might not be for you. If you are willing to put in the effort everybody is willing to try and help. Google translate is your friend most of the time. In the time I've stayed here I have walked over 50 kilometers up and down the streets and I haven't seen a single tourist or found anyone that speaks English. I feel very safe on the streets. Look both ways before walking across the street. Everyone walks on the streets and the drivers are crazy. You will always hear honking but you have to listen for what's happening right in your vicinity. All honks mean something, they're not angry hunks like the US and Canada. I if you rate this place under 5 Stars you're not thinking about how much you paid. Once again Carlos is great.⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐++.

In de chaos een plek om veilig te slapen. Aardige mensen, geen engels. Tegenover het hotel zit een 24h shopje met de enige eerlijke verkoper die we in Egypte hebben ontmoet, qua prijzen in ieder geval :-) Eenvoudig maar ok ontbijt op de kamer, erg drukke (logisch in downtown) omgeving, prima voor een paar dagen.

As a 1 star hotel, it rates 5 stars. The staff is friendly and take pride in their work. The facility is old and deteriorating. None the less, basins, toilets etc. are newer and cleaned well. It was my first night in Cairo and the neighborhood did not look pleasant, but I felt safe. The front sign displays City Hotel, not hostel.

Terrific!

I loved the downtown location and atmosphere surrounding City Hostel which is in walking distance to many restaurants and historic sites. Hostel staff service was terrific and room was 5 Star!
