Chateau de Salettes is a welcome haven in a sea of the typical hotels. Its quiet elegance and beautiful surroundings make it an exceptional destination.

Not appropriate for families

Would not recommend the family suite (the room in the turret) - there is no aircon in the bedrooms and the space is oppressive and really dangerous for kids: there is a floor level window with no ability to lock it and a sheer drop on the other side. Totally inappropriate to our families with small children in this room. We asked to swap rooms but they could not accommodate - even though the property was definitely not at capacity. Breakfast was really disappointing; especially as this was an extra charge. Bland cereal, limited fruit and slices of cheese - no offer of coffee at the table - just a machine that didn’t work. Not good at all. Asked for a late checkout as none of us had slept properly owing to the lack of aircon in bedrooms (despite the room being advertised as having aircon) - and they refused; again - despite the check in time not being until 5pm… so even if they’d let us stay until 1pm they would have still had 4 hours to clean the room. Then when I checked out the hotel tried to charge me for the room again, despite already paying on hotels.com - but she couldn’t find my confirmation on her emails. Weird and frustrating all round. She did offer 100eur off due to the lack of advertised aircon - but this didn’t really make up for the experience. The food at dinner was really lovely though and I can imagine this would be a nice place for couples or solo travellers. But a disappointing stay for us.

Séjour du 16 septembre Belle piscine en contrebas du château avec vues sur vignes. Très belle chambre, beaux volumes, peignoir et chaussons fournis. Belle salle de bains double vasques. Ecran téléviseur parfait. Petit réfrigérateur parfait (par contre bouteille d'eau offerte marque repère de Leclerc !) Petit déjeuner à 23€. QUELLE DECEPTION. Ne vaut pas 4 étoiles mais 1 étoile. Chocolat en poudre éventé dans une coupelle et thermos de lait tiédasse. Peut mieux faire pour un 4 *. Peu de choix en salé et sucré, jus d'orange à presser soi même "à la main" dans un tout petit verre (1 orange) Petit Déjeuner à OUBLIER. Au moment de régler la facture du séjour, personne à l'accueil, il faut sonner et attendre que l'on vienne. Conclusion : Beau site, belle chambre, mais le reste, on reste sur notre faim, sans jeu de mot

Un cadre charmant à la campagne

Un cadre charmant pour un moment détente à la campagne. La piscine avec vue sur les vignes est magnifique quand au restaurant c’était un délice. Le personnel est au petit soin. Un super séjour très reposant. Les chambres sont spacieuses et la bouteille de vin comme cadeau de bienvenu était fort sympathique.

Chateau de Salettes

Vi unnade oss en natt på detta hotell som låg mitt i ett underbart kulligt landskap i sitt eget vindistrikt, Salettes. Vyn från rummet och poolen var sammet för själen och vattnet i poolen var uppvärmt till 25 grader, nu i slutet på maj. Middagen utomhus intogs intill vinsluttningarna. Rekommenderas som en lyxig upplevelse.
