About the property
Grain Loft is a self-contained retreat, housed above the estate's event space but accessed separately for complete privacy. Designed with comfort and convenience in mind, it offers sweeping views across the surrounding countryside, making it an ideal hideaway for solo travellers or couples. With a small kitchenette and inviting living spaces, the apartment blends practicality with charm, ensuring a restful stay in the heart of rural Mid Wales. Please note, the event space below will not be used by other guests during your stay.
The space
Climb the private metal staircase to enter the Grain Loft apartment, a peaceful hideaway with sweeping countryside views. Step into a spacious living area featuring a thoughtfully curated interior, with Heal's furniture in both the living room and bedroom, including a super stylish king-size sofa bed - ideal for two additional children. Original rugs and botanical prints bring warmth and character, while a calming colour palette inspired by Welsh birch and lichen creates a serene atmosphere.

The space includes a simple kitchenette with a sink and microwave only, plus a four-seater dining area, complete with an oak dining table and re-conditioned Ercol Moustache dining chairs. A few steps lead up to the main living space, where the sofa bed and table create a cosy setting for reading or dining, flowing seamlessly into the bedroom with its comfortable super-king bedroom (can also be configured as a twin room on request).

The Lusso bathroom, finished in elegant nickel, adds a luxurious touch, while Farrow & Ball paints enhance the soft, natural tones throughout. The elevated position and picture windows flood the space with natural light, framing stunning views of the surrounding meadows and hills. Thoughtful finishing touches, including handmade Penrhiw tableware and Le Creuset tea mugs, complete this stylish and inviting retreat.

Head back down the external staircase to your private terrace, where you can unwind in the wood-fired Dutch hot tub and take in the sweeping panoramic views of the surrounding countryside and admire the breathtaking sunsets.Guests will also have access to the outdoor Argentinian wood-fired grill and outside kitchen space - perfect for BBQ.

Cinema room/event space

For an additional fee, the ground floor of Grain Loft is a versatile event space which can be booked separately as a cinema room for your stay. Floor-to-ceiling windows flood the room with natural light and open onto a terrace overlooking the meadows, seamlessly blending the indoors with the surrounding landscape. The space is equipped with a large TV, comfortable seating and a modern kitchen.

Sustainability
The owners have farmed this land since 1945, and today the 160 surrounding acres are organic and pesticide-free. The estate generates renewable energy on-site through solar panels, heat source pumps and rainwater harvesting, and materials and produce are sourced locally wherever possible, supporting the community while reducing their footprint.

Hot tub: As the hot tub is emptied, cleaned and refilled after each booking, we cannot guarantee that your hot tub will be at its optimal operating temperature upon arrival.

Deposit: Bookings are subject to a non-refundable deposit of 30% of the booking value plus applicable booking fees with the balance payable 70 days before the date of travel.

Accidental Damage Deposit: To maintain the highest standards in our properties, guests will need to pay a refundable Accidental Damage Deposit of £250 prior to their stay. An advance payment as detailed in the booking summary can be made to waive this requirement.
