Top Caddo-Pine Island Oil Historical Museum Hotel Reviews
Bally’s Shreveport Casino and Hotel
6/10 Okay
" Room was not as nice as I expected. No cleaning or bedding change after check in date. No excitement about the place. I wouldn’t recommend this hotel. "
"We booked a king, dropped our luggage off. Went to concert, realized we had two queens. Contacted hotel and was informed over booking or reservation issues and that’s all they had. But, I explained it allowed me to book. Must of been after us. Needless to say, we weren’t happy."
"At check in, the front desk agent placed me in a 2nd floor room that was occupied by another guest. I entered the room and there was clothing and trash thrown everywhere. When I went back to the front desk, they switched me to a better view 7th floor room. A little annoying because if there was a nicer higher room available, why bother putting guest in less desirable rooms to begin with? Poor customer service in my opinion and I’m extremely glad I did not walk in on the other guest staying there.
The hallways were filthy with dirty scuff marks all over ever single room door and if someone tried kicking them in.
The lobby floors were sticky and gross, we could hear our feet sticking to the ground as we walked.
The on site restaurant River & Rye was essentially inedible. We ate here twice and both times my order was wrong and just truly awful food.
Overall, I was eager to leave the hotel within an hour of being there. There are not a lot of great options for hotels in Shreveport anyway, but I would just beware that while this may be one of the “better options” in the area, still may not be the most comfortable stay. "
WATERFRONT.Cozy Cabin on the water- in a quiet tributary of Caddo Lake!
10/10 Excellent
"Excellent host, went above and beyond to make sure we were taken care of. Much appreciated! As far as the cabin, we absolutely loved it. Goofy weather (spring in Texas) kept the fish away but the kayaks definitely made up for it. Nice and quiet, but not secluded, so hopping over to Jefferson or the refuge was a short, easy drive. One big bed and a pullout couch was perfect for the three of us, and as others have noted, the huge screened in porch was fantastic. Overall highly recommend the cabin and host. A, well done "
