"It’s not a hotel, it’s student housing. The staff was very friendly, but gives dorm room vibes. Wasn’t a terrible stay, but would choose differently if we came to cork again. No parking so plan on spending around 40 euro a day on the nearest car park."

"This is a small flat on the top floor of a terrace house. Yes you can see the river just past the plumbers merchant yard and the industrial estate on the opposite bank. Access is via a very noisy shared stair case. First impressions on entering is a place which needs some upgrading and lacks furnishing - COSY it is not. "The Moxy was brilliant for what we needed for our 4 night city break. A perfect location next to the river, not far from Cork airport by taxi and then almost everything in the city was a good walkable distance, some things only up to 10 minutes away. The hotel inside and out was modern and aesthetically pleasing, with a lovely fragrance running through the lobby and main areas. Our room was nice, not the biggest, but had everything we needed. The shower was really nice and the air-conditioning was amazing- nice and cold- we were there during an Irish heatwave! The only drawbacks about the room was the view wasn't wonderful but it didn't really bother us, and the bed was soft/a bit uncomfortable but that happens in pretty much any hotel I go to so is probably just my issue! The staff at the Moxy were just brilliant, so welcoming and friendly. They were happy to help with anything you need. They were particularly accommodating when I spilled a drink on our bed and they quickly had the bedding changed. The bar was nice where we had a complimentary welcome cocktail, that was such a lovely touch. Thank you Moxy for a really nice and welcoming stay in Cork, what a beautiful hotel and city you have!"
