Surrounded by serene foliage, beautiful property, and the winding river, there will be no delay in getting some much-needed rest and rejuvenation. Wake up each morning and enjoy a fresh cup of coffee on the wrap-around patio as you plan a full day of fun for the whole gang. Come summer, the private pool will be the hub for lounging in the sun and taking a dip in the refreshing water. When evenings come to a close, the fun won't stop, as the stunning brick fireplace will create a cozy ambiance for all to enjoy as the chef of the group whips up something tasty in the fully equipped kitchen. Don't worry about having to leave the furry member of the family at home because this getaway is dog-friendly!

Sitting in the wonderful community of Trinity Village, you will have the perfect combination of seclusion while having a plethora of activities right at your fingertips. Trinity River runs right by the property, so fishing, taking a quick dip, or simply watching the water flow by will be a breeze. When you want to venture out a bit, you can easily head out to Willow Creek (11 miles) and grab a bite to eat from Bigfoot Steakhouse or a coffee from Espresso & More.

Please note that the pool is a mountain pool. It's only usable June-September.

Damage waiver: The total cost of your reservation for this Property includes a nightly damage waiver fee, plus tax if applicable (the “Damage Waiver”). (A discount may be applied for stays of 28 nights or longer, if permitted.) The Damage Waiver covers you for up to $3,000 of accidental damage to the Property or its contents (such as furniture, fixtures, and appliances) as long as you report the incident to the host prior to checking out. The Damage Waiver fee eliminates the need for a traditional security deposit.

The main thing is that it was not ready for us to check in. The code was wrong. I had to call several times as the code was wrong and also delivered late. This is the second time this has happened with a Vacasa booking. Highly disappointed.

The house has a great layout, central hexagon living room/kitchen/dining, with the fireplace central and two wings of bedrooms. The patio/pool is right off the living room and there's 7 sliding glass doors out to the pool area. Really a great vibe. The house management team is fairly quickly responsive with problems. My major complaint was a bug we found, which they remedied fairly quickly and that there was zero cling wrap, tin foil or plastic bags to wrap leftovers and we had a hard time figuring out the best way to get to the river, but ultimately drove down in a car. Overall, great house and location and we had a quiet, relaxing time for the most part.

Merryman Cabin was a delight. Very comfortable and lots to see and do near by. We were so busy exploring the river I just wish I had more time to stay in the cabin. I absolutely hope to get the chance to stay again. Thank you for hosting such a beautiful place

Enjoyed the house. Unique design and lay-out. Clean with comfortable beds. Pool is not heated, so a bit of a woo-wooer when you jump in. The access to the river is by car and not within walking distance. Nice neighborhood. Quiet. The air conditioning is not good. It was VERY hot in the house and while this was disclosed, it was uncomfortable, even with fans on. Over-all, the house, the lot and location was very nice. Other than the air conditioning issue, we enjoyed our four day stay. Very relaxing. Our pooch enjoyed it too. Loved the walks and the deer visiting each morning and evening.

Family Retreat

The house is beautiful. Love the location and access to the river. The kitchen was well stocked and the beds were very comfortable.The only downside is that the pool vacuum was full and not functioning. Unfortunately without good cell service we could only communicate via text messages with an AI representative. No one ever came out to help us clear the pool debris.

Get away from the city

Lovely home with spacious rooms and big pool/backyard! Bring your own board games and cooking supplies. Board games aren’t super kid friendly and we love to cook so not having a good blender and coffee brewer made us rate the house a 4 star!

Beautiful place

Very clean and beautiful structure. The pictures on the site make you think you will have a river view and maybe even be able to walk out to the river. That is not real. It’s a short hike or a drive to the river. Not a huge deal but we were a bit surprised. The fireplace smokes up the entire home. We turned off the the heat and it still did it. Fireplace is beautiful and heated the room but smoke was everywhere!!! Other than that, I would stay there again!

Beautiful with some FYI's

This is a beautiful property. The pool was perfection. It was clean, just the right temperature for hot weather and well maintained. The home is eclectic, spacious and comfortable. We had a few hiccups during our stay: the a/c unit is new, but even so it couldn't cool the space. Keep in mind it was 100° every day we were there. We tried everything, but the indoor temp hovered around 90° with the ac running. There isn't cell service at Hawkins Bar, you need to drive to Willow Creek for a signal. The wifi at the home works for basic needs (email, web page viewing) but doesn't really support streaming. There are also no cooking basics here, salt only, no pepper, other spices, plastic wrap, foil, oil, etc. This was fine, and we picked up everything we needed at Ray's at Willow Creek, but it is always nice to know ahead of time what is needed. There is a Keurig but no coffee pot, but plenty of Keurig pods were supplied so it worked out great! There were lounge chairs around the pool, plenty of seating on the deck, and an outdoor table and chairs for meals. River access was tricky to find, but there was a beach there and a deep swimming hole. There are no folding lawn chairs at the home, so plan to take your own. The road to Hawkins Bar is steep and winding, so plan to take your time. Willow Creek has the basics: A small grocery store, gas station, and a cool little place to get pool toys, sunscreen and river items. The Pizza Factory is good as well. If you want to do some actual shopping or more tourist type activities, Arcata or Eureka, about an hour away, is where you will need to go. Joanna at Vacasa was so incredibly helpful. We were evacuated our second night due to a wild fire a few hundred yards behind the home. We were able to get in touch with her and she was so kind. We also left a few days early due to the heat and the ac issues. Again, she was extremely kind, helpful and accommodating and followed up with us to assure us she understood the concerns. I would absolutely vacation again at Hawkins Bar (once the ac is fixed, which Joanna was working on with the owner!)

Memorial weekend trip

This place was perfect for all ages. The house was clean. The amenities were abundant. The pool was awesome. The lake was spectacular. I wish we would of booked for more days. This may be a yearly trip for us now.

GLORIOUS!

They thought of every convenience. It was cozy and rustic and lavish and luxurious all at once. Peaceful, private. Pristine. Games, adorable wooden dollhouse for children, every cooking tool imaginable, imaginative and eclectic decor. Wildlife glimpses from every light-filled window,. I almost don't want to give this wonderful home the praise it deserves, because when enough people discover it, I will probably never be lucky enough to find it vacant again. Love it. One of the best,probably the best vacation rental I have ever stayed in!
