"We loved our stay at the Seabird!! We are locals and were here one night for my husband's 50th birthday. They comped our parking for the occasion and gave us a free glass of champagne at check in - great start! They also decorated our room with a Happy Birthday sign, balloons, and other decor. The hotel lobby is beachy, relaxing, and decorated with fun, whimsical art, plus at least 6 Christmas trees for the holidays. I loved the calm library room and enjoyed the gym. My husband had a very nice massage at the spa and said it was the most relaxed he'd been in a while. :-) It's great being able to walk across the street to the beach, the boardwalk, and the pier, plus the cool restaurants and bars on Mission Ave. It's also a very short drive to some great restaurants in downtown Carlsbad. We didn't have our kids with us, but they also have a kids play room, a pool table in the commons area, and a nice pool with jacuzzi. It's clean, beautiful, and the staff was all very friendly and professional. Would definitely stay here again!! "

"We really enjoyed our stay here. The 1 bedroom condo felt like a home away from home. The kitchen was fully stocked with all the dishes you’ll need. We loved it so much we are going back next year and staying longer. "

"Our group was in town for a 5 day stay in early December and had a wonderful stay at the "Mermaid House".Well appointed and stocked, it provided plenty of room for our family of 11, aging from 2 to "mid sixties".Bikes came in handy to tool around the town and the pool (heated) and spa were a treat.Laurie was an excellent host, personally greeting us at the home and providing us treats upon our arrival. She was also very quick to respond to any minor issues we may have had, mostly due to the lack of familiarity with the property.We would absolutely book this property again! "

"The property is beautiful and clean, really tastefully updated. Our room was clean and super cute. It had almost everything we needed, even an air filter! The beds were very comfy and a nice shower experience. We loved the Japanese soaking tub. The courtyard coffee on the weekend was lovely. While there is a heating unit in the room, we did have to ask for an extra blanket since we like to sleep with a little more weight on us. There don't seem to be any employees on site, but they are VERY responsive to text. Also lots of cute stuff to walk to: coffee, restaurants, grocery, etc etc. "
