This is a great place to stay. Right across the street from the beach, you can sit on the deck and watch the sunset while enjoying a drink, swim in the heated pool or sit by the outdoor fireplace. Just minutes up the street are lots of restaurants and shopping, all within just three or four blocks of the hotel. The staff are super friendly, and it is in a very quiet part of town. I am definitely going to stay here next time I am in Carlsbad!

This property is awesome! Clean, quiet, and literally across the street from the beach! Beautiful fire pit, amazing balcony deck to sit and watch the ocean and passersby. So relaxing and beautiful. Breakfast was great and varieties of coffee. We will definitely be staying here again!

So the location is fabulous as are the outdoor spaces - firepit, breakfast view, etc. The room is big, the gas fireplace was unexpected (and unneeded for us). Great stay

Great location, lots of restaurants and bars close by. Best part is having the beach right across the street. The courtyard is beautiful with a fire pit and pool. The room was basic but larger than most. Staff was wonderful.

Kids loved the pool, others thought heated pool. Nope, just Alaskan kiddos!!! Staff was so nice, especially Dorothy in the breakfast area. Andrew at the front desk! Loved them! We loved the location. We had a view of the beach from our balcony and the hotel is literally across the street from Carlsbad park and beach. The hotel is old but nearly completely renovated. We loved the breakfast room and patio views as well. We would stay here again!

Fantastic location across the street from the beach. Downtown Carlsbad is walkable, just 2 blocks away. The building is older, probably built in the 1960’s but was clean. Staff was friendly and while breakfast was just OK, the dining area was clean and organized each morning. One downside is the parking cost of $19 per night.
