The only inconvenience was the host would show up without any notice. Coming to check to see if we needed the trash taken or needed anything else is nice and fine but would have liked a notice that they were coming by.」

「We were there for our granddaughter’s wedding at Adaland Mansion. This was a convenient location for traveling to and from the event. The house was beautifully decorated and very roomy for a large family. Everything was clean and comfortable. The rain kept us from enjoying the outdoors but there was lots of room for outdoor sitting and grilling. Sherry is an exceptionally good host. I would recommend the riverfront home to anyone traveling to that area.」

「Lovely older home. We loved that it was right next to the river. Unfortunately it was rainy & cool the whole weekend, so the guys couldn't fish & we couldn't take full advantage of the screened porch. Maybe next time! It wasn't too far out from Elkins, so that was nice, too. Beds were comfortable. We took the Tygart train ride & actually saw the house from the train. That was cool. Beautiful area!」

「We had a great 4 day break and were looking for somewhere quiet compared to most Memorial Day lake locations. The house is right on the river. THe levels were low so it was more thans afe with supervision for our 4 kids ages 4-9 out there. We tubed and kayaked down the river. Unfortunately, water levels were too low for us to get the canoes out but the property has them as well for a very modest watercraft fee ($75) that covers the entire stay. 「This property was clean, maintained and had everything we needed. The owner provided a lot of little nice touches, with premade bags for smores, snacks, packaged toothbrushes, toothpaste, etc. The area is beautiful and has lots of deer to watch. My family had plenty of room to gather and visit as we all came in from separate states to celebrate my recently passed Mother's life. This was a great property to stay at while in Buckhannon. The next time we are back in Buckhannon we would happily stay...

「This was a very charming beautiful old house. Perfect weekend stay for us and our fur babies. Thank you for allowing them! Perfect little fenced in back yard for them to run around a bit. Nice comfortable bed for us. Everything was wonderful. Could use a bit brighter lights for overhead but loved all of the soft lamps and decorations. Everything we needed for our weekend get away.」

「Even though we spent most of our time sight seeing, the morning views of the creek were fantastic and easy access to go down onto the river itself. The property manager was very pleasant to speak with and gave us great suggestions on where to explore. The property was very clean and comfy, and we found the RGB lights to be a fun touch to the rental. Reccomend staying here to anyone!」

「My sister, her husband, my husband and son and myself had a wonderful visit! We came to care for our parents home prepping for sale but wanted to stay close by. We were so comfortable in the big sprawling house--there was plenty of room for us to spread out! We felt like we stepped back in time with the high ceilings, antique furniture and huge front porch. Your welcome gifts were so nice, and the amenities were much more than most other properties we have stayed. The history right in the home...

「We had a great stay here at the Muskie-Lounge River Retreat!! We were here for my son’s wedding. The cabin was clean and ready when we arrived. The Tenney’s were flexible on check-in times and allowed us to get in a bit early to be able to shower/change from traveling before our rehearsal dinner. Evenings spent on the deck around the fire was very relaxing!! Would for sure bring the family back again!」
