"The owner Salvo was a lovely host who went out of his way to show us around and keep things running smoothly. He also offers a great guided tour of Etna, at rates lower than the tourist guides and is personalised to suit your requirements. The villa is lovely, reasonably well furnished with a pool and views across to Etna and the sea. It is located in a quiet private and gated housing estate, but a good 45 min walk to Brucoli. "Lo Zafferaneto is an amazingly beautiful property with carefully decorated and furnished rooms (everything is spotlessly clean). All staff are extremely friendly and make you feel welcome and at home immediately. If you are a foodie you are in the right place! The owner is an absolutely fantastic chef (I highly recommend the boar ragu and deconstructed tiramisu). Breakfast is also very delicious. The place is quite remote in the mountains, it’s quiet and peaceful, but you will definitely need to have a car to get around. "

"This is a gorgeous resort hotel that has excellent service, beautiful location. The pool is next level gorgeous next to sea. Good dining. Excellent staff and concierge can book day trips. Just note that beach access is too rocky to swim. There are many stairs all around so hotel is not accessible. Also not much near by. Highly recommend. Very romantic destination. Great honeymoon location. Very happy with our stay. Thank you! "

"Although it wasn't the easiest finding this hotel outside of the limited zone area, otherwise, the stay was perfection. The room was lovely and the staff was friendly and professional. Our breakfast in the morning was delicious and you couldn't beat the view from the terrace. Breathtaking! Would stay here again....without a doubt."

"We had a lovely stay at the Relais Antica Badia. The team were just fantastic in keeping us comfortable throughout our stay. The breakfast was amazing and the little daily cakes and evening chocolates made it special. They even did a small breakfast birthday cake for my wife. The hotel location is good with lots of nice restaurants within a 5 minute walk. The location is also good for accessing Ragusa Ibla via the steps. The local bus station to Modica and Scicli is also an easy walk. We thoroughly recommend a stay here and would certainly stay again. "

"We stayed here for one night and wish we could have stayed longer. We didn’t have time to use the spa but we did go to the outdoor pool for a bit. The pool was amazing and the outdoor bar was a nice touch. The breakfast was very good and the room overlooked the race track so you can watch the horses warm up in the morning. It was an overall excellent hotel for the price. "

"We had a lovely stay at Riccardo’s place. The house was really clean and had everything we needed. The outside seating area was great and the nearby beach was really lovely. You do need a car if staying here as the nearest shops are a short drive away. We had great visits to Siracusa and Etna and we all also enjoyed visiting the Etnaland theme park and water park. Would recommend this accommodation for visiting this area. "
