Pascal was an amazing host!!! He was very helpful on things to do and places to go in the city. Breakfast was great and so was the conversation. The location was soooo quiet, yet steps from the heart of the city. Highly recommend!!!!!

I had a wonderful stay at Carmelite in Brussels! The room was beautiful, comfortable, and in a fantastic location for exploring the city. Everything felt clean and welcoming, and the atmosphere was charming and relaxing. The location made it easy to walk to many of Brussels’ sights, restaurants, and cafés, which was especially convenient. I also really appreciated the friendly service and overall attention to detail. I would happily stay at Carmelite again on my next visit to Brussels. Highly recommended!

Charming and Comfortable

Our host was so gracious and kind. He gave recommendations for places of interest and dining. The suite was charming and clean and comfortable. We really enjoyed our stay and would definitely recommend and hopefully one day return!

High recommend!! If you are going to Brussels then you need to stay here!! Owner is extremely friendly and helpful making our stay and first experience in Brussels amazing. This was our first trip with our baby so everything was a challenge, but staying here really brought relief and convenience.

Pascal, the owner and host, was very friendly and helpful. However, Expedia should make it clear that this is a bed and breakfast, not a hotel. The breakfast was adequate, but had fewer options than at other hotels at which we stayed in Belgium. Also, if you intend to use the parking lot provided by the Carmelites Guest House, be aware that the parking space available to you is extremely tight. You should be able to negotiate tight spaces with the vehicle you drive.

Fantastic place

Excellent location . Fantastic host , who is the most friendly , caring , honest . Pascal treated the guests as friends rather than guests. The house and rooms are structurally old but very adequately comfortable. Highly recommended for a fantastic visit of Brussels

This is not a hotel - you are welcomed into a home. The host is beyond helpful and after a few hours feels like a real friend you have known for years! The room is the top floor (yes, there are a few stairs to climb) entailing a beautiful bedroom and bathroom - lots of character. Although it’s just a few steps from the heart of Brussel, the street is peaceful and quiet.

This is right in the middle of eveything, but off the main area just enough so it is quiet. The house is historic and beautiful. Pascal was a wonderful host. We enjoyed our conversations with him at breakfast. He even walked us to the metro station to make sure we caught the right car to Brussels Midi

The property is wonderfully located. It is a nice historic house and the bedroom and bath are very spacious. The problem for us was that the tub is a high step over the rim and the shower is only hand held. Since my husband has double knee replacement, this was a problem and providing a step stool would have made life easier. Although I like a chilly bedroom at night, it was also quite cold during the day. The owner seemed quite put out that we mentioned these problems.

This is a beautiful place in a great location. It's very close to the Grand Place but on a quiet street. The owner is very helpful with suggestions and recommendations. Any easy distance from the subway station. The room was very spacious. I wish it had a coffee machine and tea kettle. Also wish it had a fridge. There is only a hand held shower, which makes things a bit tricky. It felt a bit odd to walk past the owners' rooms with their doors ajar. The stairs are numerous and steep so if you aren't used to that many flights it could be a bit much for some travellers. The breakfast felt a bit awkward at times with the owner sitting in the same room with us. I understand why it's done this way but maybe have an option for a tray of breakfast brought to the suite instead. There's enough space for a table and chairs in the suite. Love the fresh bread and croissants everyday! I also wish the door to the suite had an actual lock.

The home is in a perfect location to tour the old city. The attractions are no more than 15 minutes away by foot. The accommodations are spacious and comfortable. What truly makes this place special is Pascal, your host. His local knowledge, both current and historic, recommendations, and charming personality bring Brussels alive.

What a beautiful home!!! A perfect place to stay in Brussels. Pascal our host was warm and welcoming. Breakfast each morning was tasty and coffee divine. Our room was spacious, warm and full of charm and character. Location is on a quiet street yet a stones throw away from all the wonderful sites in Brussels. Lovely guest house with very welcoming and hospitaple hosts. Conviniently located a stones through away from the peeing statue, whilst maintaining a quiet atmosphere. Plentiful breakfast provided, come and go as you please in a characteristic property. Very convenient for the centre of Brussels and both midi and central station.
