We had a terrible stay at the Poachers Inn, the rooms are at the back of the inn and up some stairs, so there is no direct access to the inside of the inn, Once given your room key there is no customer service and no contact with any staff on leaving, the room key is left in the door on checkout.
The room was small, poorly decorated and not well maintained, with little thought to the layout or presentation, especially for the price paid.
We stayed on a Friday night and there was extremely loud Karaoke in the bar until midnight and then other music played up until almost 1am, therefore this was not helpful in getting a restful nights sleep.
I would not recommend staying at the inn, there is more accommodation near the Marina, which is in a better location for enjoying some time in the lovely area of of Portishead, which is worth a visit.
