My family have now returned to Australia after their stay in Chew House. They loved the property, it is in a beautiful location,everything was provided (cakes were appreciated!) and the garden area with slide was ideal for the children. Thank you from them.

A lovely property in a fantastic location. A wide variety of walks from the property and the village is a short walk. The village boasts a few pubs - the pelican was excellent, highly recommend especially on pizza night. The property is very well equipped and the owners is extremely helpful. Highly recommend and we will definitely be rebooking.

We just spent four nights at this beautiful house. Everything you could’ve ever wanted traveling with a family from the United States for my father‘s funeral. Having grown up in this area being able to stay in my home village very close to everything with such fond memories was very special. The house is very modern and well equipped With heated bathroom floors, which was lovely when the temperature dipped a little bit! When we return, we will definitely ask to stay here again, Jacqueline our wonderful host was in constant communication and knowing we were returning home for somewhat sad reasons really cheered us up with some beautiful Christmas decorations for the house and some lovely welcome food items in the kitchen. She could not have been more gracious and we’re very grateful for the hospitality. This quality of accommodation and hospitality is rare so thank you for an amazing visit. Love from the Brods

This house is absolutely perfect for those with limited mobility. The house is safe and well equipped for the elderly or disabled. The kitchen has everything you might need. Communication with Jacqueline was amazing both before and during our stay and nothing was too much trouble. Absolutely faultless stay.

We stayed at the property four years ago so this is our second visit. Perfect home for a holiday near relatives and celebrating three birthdays. Bungalow has everything you need in beautiful surroundings which are ideal for walking and cycling. My son is a keen cyclist and we enjoyed walking to Chew Lake and the crazy golf nearby. If you book the property you will not be disappointed.

This place was just perfect. Hidden away in the quiet countryside but close to Bristol Airport and not too far from the city center let us get out exploring at our own place. Clean and comfortable we felt very welcome and looking forward to staying here again in the future.

This home was impressive. It was in a quiet, private location and had plenty of space for our group. It was very clean and well stocked. The owner was quick to respond to any questions that we had. It was perfect as a base to explore the area. We visited Bristol, Bath, the Cotswolds, Wells Cathedral and Cheddar Gorge. It was also nice to be able to walk into the lovely town of Chew Magna to pick up anything we needed at the well stocked co-op. We would definitely stay here again.

It is hard to find the words that will do justice to this property. We were lucky enough to have an extended stay due to building work and it truly was a home from home. Every possible comfort and facility is provided and the peace and tranquil location is superb. The wonderful host, Jacqui, has thought of everything- honestly better than any 5 star hotel. We arrived on a wet and cold January evening and walked into the amazingly welcoming warm cottage with lights already on and thoughtful touches such as cake and fruit. Just made all the difference. I thoroughly recommend this property- you will not be disappointed. We are looking forward to visiting again. Thank you Jacqui for your hospitality. We so appreciated it. xxx

We have just enjoyed a fantastic stay for a few days. The house is lovely and everything you need is provided. The location was brilliant too, Bristol and Bath both very close. I would recommend The Pelican pub in the village along with The Rising Sun in Pensford.
