    Your cozy getaway awaits along this lagoon's deep-water tributary of the Apalachicola River 20 minutes south of Bristol, Florida! The whispering cypress and tupelo trees tell stories of a century-old fish camp alive with laughter, friendship, and the rhythm of river life. Honey Hole Fish Camp offers the perfect blend of rustic elegance, natural beauty and superb fishing right off your own private dock! If you prefer fishing from your boat, you have access to miles of riverfront via your own private boat ramp.

    Though the original camp has faded into history, its spirit has been lovingly re-imagined here for couples, family, or friends. The cottage interior consists of handcrafted cypress that was milled from the very trees that grow in the river lagoon nearby. A picturesque boardwalk, private dock and private boat ramp offers direct access to the serene river lagoon and deep-water tributary. The expansive lawn with sweeping views is perfect for yard games and kids to play.

    The charming 1-bedroom, 1-bath cottage that sleeps 6 is complete with a full kitchen, dining area, and welcoming living room with two 75" Smart TVs, (with Starlink), and views of the lagoon below. The bedroom has a queen bed for two guests and the living room has two daybeds with trundle sleep options allowing for sleeping arrangements of four guests. Six total guests.

    The covered "Reception Barn" includes a full bathroom and washer and dryer. One of the most valued features in Honey Hole Fish Camp is the 36-foot long bar area with an 85" Smart TV, (with Starlink). The barn comes equipped with a stainless steel kitchen sink and counter, along with the "Grilling Station" consisting of two charcoal "swivel" grills, and even a smoker that has been adapted for a grilling option!

    Whether you’re unwinding after a day of exploring or enjoying quiet moments, this fantastic cottage provides a welcoming retreat. Recharge your senses, relationship, or family with this serene natural setting framed by the beauty of old growth cypress and tupelos, along with the gentle sights and sounds of the river.

We had a Amazing time at this time capsule!!! Its a Amazing place so much history and just a Amazing place to unwind and chill. The Dock and water is simple Amazing!! And if you have a boat it has its own Launch and thats a big plus on that River!!

Excellent anniversary tripThis property is unbelievable! Very private and peaceful with lush trees and a private dock where the bass are plentiful. The cabin was hands down the best in provisions. Everything was thoughtfully planned to ensure our comforts. The location is secluded and yet close enough for activities. We enjoyed the Apalachicola Forest and wildlife management areas. Saturday we experienced the 8th annual Wildflowers Festival in nearby Blountstown. Our host responded immediately to any questions prior, during and after our stay. We are looking forward to returning

We had an awesome time. Listing is accurate, very private. Surprisingly not buggy at all. I am a mosquito magnet and didn't get one bite. Their pest control is great, lots of dead bugs but no live ones. Dogs had a great time and plenty of fish. You can catch them without even trying....even from the back of a blow up kayak while holding a little pup! Note, blowup kayak is not recommended, use the ones they provide. That was more of a joke for us, picked it up on the way out of town when the boat we planned on bringing had a steering issue. Oh, amazing farm down the road that has fresh cut steaks, I think it was called Jerkins. We picked up a huge porterhouse to grill and split. Fun grill!

An outstanding property. The fishing in this "honey hole" was/is a bit tenuous, highly dependent on rain proximity and various other factors. We expected the fish to literally "jump in the boat" - didn't happen. Not the fault of the hosts, of course, but the fish choose to bite only for about a single hour in the mornings and the evenings - between 8-9 both a.m. and p.m. Don't plan to be catching all morning either way, you can fish all day but your won't catch - at all - except during those times. Trust me, we tried everything short of nets and telephones. Fly fishing, bait casting, top spinners, lures for bass may be MUCH better; the pole or light tackle method with a cricket or worm - I give a 3/10 overall. The property, the hosts, the ambience - exceptional, Perhaps we'll try another day, maybe next season. Too hot for fishing right now anyway. Thank Glenn and Lawson for your hospitality. Tony & Brenda
