The Grand Brighton

"Had a great overnight stay here, lucky to have a room overlooking the seafront which gave us a wonderful view, well worth the room upgrade. Were attending an event in the Hotel which was wonderfully hosted and very enjoyable. Bar area was a little cramped later on as was very popular post dinner but a great atmosphere, must give a special call out to the concierge and porter team as they were great sorting out our car and luggage which may seem a small thing but when you can arrive at a hotel, step inside and leave all of the arrangements to the concierge team it makes the whole experience totally hassle free and likewise when leaving, all of the luggage was in the car and the car was ready when we came back from our morning "blow the cobwebs away sea front walk". its a small thing but goes a long way to making you feel very special about your stay, many thanks......"

"We booked a sea view room and the view is nice, but there is an open balcony area accessible from all the sea view rooms on that level. This meant other guests were outside our room all night playing music and chatting loudly. We would come back to this hotel but would avoid the sea view rooms next time"

"Excellent quality hotel in great condition. Perfect central location overlooking the beach on one side and the Lanes area on the other. Staff were friendly and very efficient. I will happily stay here again."
Maldron Hotel Brighton City Centre

"Booked the hotel rather late hence had to pay what we believe is premium rate ( £320.00 for the night ). Check in was easy by polite informed staff, room was more than adequate, clean and comfortable. Plenty of towels, Tv etc. The disappointments were that whilst we had Tea and coffee facilities only one pack of biscuits and then discovered that for the £300 breakfast was not included which surely is nothing but extortion. My own fault for not paying attention when booking but stupidly I woukd expect breakfast for such a sum. I would and shall definitely book again as it’s a good hotel in great location but I’ll pay more attention in the future to the details. I asked at reception if a mistake had been made and was informed that “there was nothing they could do and it was £17 a head. Out of principle we went to the lanes for breakfast."

"Comfortable bed, tea/coffee making facilities in room, decent shower. Rooms basic but clean, buildings are in need of TLC. Plus points for being close to beach, pier and town centre where there is a good variety of shops, restaurants and bars"
The Mitre Hotel Brighton

"Staff were very helpful, this is the second time we have stayed here i did book a standard room but we were put in a basic room the man on the desk did explain why and gave me some money back. The room was basically clean. Unfortunately the cooked breakfast wasn't very hot but it was plentiful. We would still stay here again as it is central to amenities."
