This accommodation is also currently wing used for refugees and this wasn’t a problem for us. Everyone was very respectful of others space. It was very clean and the staff at breakfast were great.

The fresh warm breads, meats, cheeses, and soft boiled eggs were wonderful. This is a very simple guesthouse so there were no frills like TV. Staff was very friendly.

I was late for check in but the staff waited till I arrive which saved me from staying in the car for that night. I got the room with the best view of the tower and garden so happy and thanks for the free breakfast too ☺️

The old monastery is beautiful and fully renovated. The rooms are massive and the garden and terrace areas are lovely. Breakfast is great also. The only issue I had was that there is a lot of street noise since the property runs beside a major thoroughfare up to the school and down into the town. Our room (122) is likely to be the noisiest so avoid it if possible. But a fabulous stay none the less.

Family holiday

Stayed on a Quad room with own T&B plus free breakfast for 3-N last Aug19-22,2023. The building been old yet doen't look-like one due to refurbishing its interiors - our room looks new and clean so with the T&B. There is a wash room with Washing Machine and a Dryer around CHF2 / hr each use depending on the program. Iron and board too can be used if needed. Common kitchen fully provided with keetle, cookwares, plates and utilsels, microwave, fridge - a bonus to guests however must stay clean and tidy after used. The corridor's lights are motion sensor though at night so it felt very dark. The terrace at 1st floor and the garden on the ground are bonus too. Others did breaky at the garden...a good one. Part of their culture is that the place must stay quite as much as you can - not advisable to those having big mouths and toodlers. For us, a good one. Their reception is only up to 7pm and thought we might be late for half an hour thus we rang to inform - we're told she'll wait for us nevertheless we're there at 7pm. Liliana who was working that day and the following days - you have a good customer service. The place is just around 8-10mins walk to Central Train Station, depending on pace.

Great stay at Gastehaus St. Ursula, very unique property with stunning views of the alps. Room with private bathroom was very clean and roomy. No aircon but multiple windows in room do open for ventilation. Really enjoyed the complementary breakfast, the staff was very friendly and attentive. Location is close to the Brig train station, but beware walking with luggage up to the property is quite the workout.

Schöner Aufenthalt

Gästehaus direkt oberhalb vom Stockalperschloss und der Altstadt mit vielen Restaurants. Viel Platz im Zimmer mit allem drum und dran inkl. Frühstücksbuffet. Ruhig gelegen und Parkplätze etwas oberhalb oder im nahen Altstadtparkhaus.

Un emplacement idéal pour se déplacer dans Brig ou sur le réseau ferré MGB. Un parking ouvert accessible et localisé plus haut que la guesthouse à des prix raisonnables. Côté hébergement, la prestation est conforme à la description de l'établissement : calme, propreté impeccable dans les parties communes ainsi que dans la chambre. Vue magnifique sur le château Stockalper pour le petit déjeuner. Personnel très réactif et très soucieux de la qualité des prestations délivrées. Ce fut une première expérience d'une guesthouse et que je renouvelerai sans problème, surtout avec cet établissement pour mes prochains séjours à Brig.

Einfach super

Alles sehr gepflegt, super sauber, auch die Gemeinschaftsdusche. Alles sehr gut zu Fuss erreichbar z.b. 10 Min zum Bahnhof. Einfache Einrichtung ohne Fernseher, sehr praktisch ist die kleine Stockwerksküche mit Kühlschrank. Wer keinen Schnickschnack braucht, ist hier bestens aufgehoben.

Entrepris des randonnées en utilisant trains, car postaux, téléphériques. Brig - Fiesch -Fiescheralp - Märjelensee - longer le glacier d'Aletsch jursqu'à la Riederalp et retour en téléphérique et car postal à Brigue. Car postal Brigue Simplon: à pied Simplon - Bistinenpass - Gebidumpass - Gebidumsee - Giw. Télésiège Giw - Visperterminen car/train retour à Birgue.

Übernachten im sorgfältig restaurierten Baudenkmal

Mir hat der Ort ausserordentlich gut gefallen. Das sorgfältig und aufwendig restaurierte Denkmal vermittelt ein luxuriöses Klosterambiente. Die Zimmer etwas karg ausgestattet, dafür wunderbar Raum für Körperübungen, bestes Bett, modernes Bad. Grosszügige Nebenräume und romantischer Klostergarten nur für die Hotelgäste. Wer wenig Wert auf 'Schein' dafür eher auf 'Sein' legt, wird hier wohl sehr zufrieden sein. Herrliche Aussicht auf das Stockalperschloss und die Walliserberge. Mitten in der Stadt, somit Nachts nicht komplett ruhig, da ab und zu ein einzelnes Fahrzeug in der Klopfsteingasse.

Good location, basic rooms, better hotels nearby.

Room was clean enough, pretty basic with no air con or even a fan. Loose toilet seat and window that opened our into an apartment block. Cars going up the cobbled street outside were really loud. Very basic breakfast but very good location. Could do with better creature comforts but that's just my opinion. Personally I would book elsewhere if staying in Brig again.

We loved staying at this simple but extremely clean and terrifically located guest house. The breakfast was excellent, the garden and terrace were lovely, and the beds were comfortable. Excellent wifi but don't look for electronic amenities.
