The fishing cabin is off the beaten path, but that is sort of the point. We had a most peaceful stay on the island, hearing only the sounds of birds chirping. If you’re looking for a quiet getaway in a unique setting, this was it.

The house was perfect clean and tidy with plenty of blankets. Los of room to relax if you had 5-6 people. It was just my wife and I so it was even better. The host was super perfect, nice, and have is plenty of privacy. Kitchen had all the utensils needed to cook with so you don't need to get anything extra.

We stayed for a week for my grandson's HS graduation fishing trip. We had a wonderful time. The guys took a couple of fishing trips from Surfside and I relaxed at this lovely cottage. We had everything we needed and the owners are very responsive and willing to help in any way they can. It was fun to watch the birds, we saw Roseated Spoonbill that are beautiful when they fly over. There were dolphins and alligator in the river. It was so pleasant. Crabbing was excellent and we had a crab boil. Fishing wasn't great in the river due to the previous rain. We appreciated the bottle of wine, eggs and fish!
