「Marielle and Loic were very kind and warm. It felt like I was staying at my favorite cousin’s house, and the home being a Chateau was the icing on the cake. Le Chateau de Lavaud is a gorgeous, serene castle with a generous landscape and spacing. The bed was comfortable, and the bathroom had a quaint, antiquated feel of Spanish / Moroccan design. 「Despite our reservation having been confirmed, the person we contacted on the phone the day before arriving said that she had no trace of our reservation.... She said she was only doing AirB&B. She was full and said there no way she would accommodate us despite our reservation having been made nearly 3 months before. The person on the phone was unpleasant. I asked her to find a solution but she was extremely unhelpful. It seems to me that this hotel uses several partners to optimize their room...

「We spent nearly 3 weeks at this wonderful rustic Gite. The Gite itself was perfect for us as a couple and a great terrace with lots of areas to sit around and read and eat. The Pool area was fantastic and we enjoyed memorable days. The location was great for all the wonderful places to see in the Dordodgne. The hosts were very accomodating. 「Stayed for 2 weeks in this lovely apartment- part of a classic French property with a garden and private pool. Although secluded the property is less than 10 minutes drive to Brantome with its many good restaurants and market. Some fine walks in the local area as well. Our hosts, Sandra and Alun, were very helpful about places to visit and great company over a glass or two of wine. We cannot recommend this property or location highly enough.」
