Not Entire Home as Advertised Nor in Location Stated
We thought we had booked an entire home as that is what the ad stated right under the photo of the home entrance on VRBO. However it was only 2 bedrooms and a bathroom which were clean. We determined that the house was NOT in the area the map showed it in, nor were certain amenties there when we arrived such as plates, cutlery, coffee cups etc. These were delivered later. Access to the two bedrooms at the top of the stairs was open to anyone in the suite below as there was no way to secure our space. We could lock the door to our bedroom while sleeping however, were unable to secure our belongings as there was no key to unlock the bedrooms if we locked them and left. When asked, the owner stated "I have no idea where the key is". We had plans for a coffee visit with friends that weekend at the house but had to make other arrangements as there was no house. We had no control of the heat and it was TOO HOT to sleep. VRBO advertises INCESSANTLY about their rentals being whole homes. This listing was advertised as ENTIRE HOME, and charged a whole home price per night. Other listings in Brandon that were just bedrooms were 70% less per night than this one. We left after the first night. ALWAYS confirm with the hosts EXACTLY what to expect and not to just believe what VRBO OR THE AD STATES. After contacting VRBO regarding the above we were told the ad was accurate, IT MOST SURELY WAS/IS NOT. If wanting only a bedroom/bath then this is for you.
