"This home was beyond filthy with stained sheets, stained shower, maggots , mildew and mold. The smell inside could possibly be interior mold. We didnt even stay after seeing it upon check in. Despite arriving a scant five minutes before closing, they offered cheerful assurance that the lounge remained accessible for a restorative nightcap. Upon entering the bar, that welcome deepened substantially. I found myself in the company of two amiable patrons and an exceptional bartender who went well beyond the standard obligations of corporate hospitality. Not only did he offer insightful regional recommendations spanning Alexandria and Monroe, but he generously extended the evening hours to ensure a weary traveler felt genuinely accommodated. While midscale properties often succumb to monotonous standardization, this Four Points transcended its brand boundaries entirely. Louisiana has long understood that authentic warmth cannot be scripted, and the staff here delivered an intimate, restorative experience worthy of the finest New Orleans boutique inns.
