The negative with Gurneys is the rooms are not connected to the main building. They do provide a car service to pick you up. I feel this limits you. We would have gone down for a drink but it seemed too involved to get there. This resort is not for seniors ."

"We really enjoyed our stay at Hero Beach. The location is perfect - the beach is right across the street and town is less than a ten-minute walk. The beach loungers and umbrella were a great convenience. The hotel itself was clean and the room was very comfortable. Staff was friendly and helpful. The grounds were also lovely - we appreciated the firepits and lots of areas to hang out and relax. Was a little expensive, especially after Labor Day, but we really enjoyed the stay!"
