"Pimishka is a great place for lake views & chill stay. Complete kitchen items and there’s a water provided. Though, I thought the place was located more in Old Quebec, but it’s closer to Ottawa. We had our itinerary plan to go to Mont-Tremblant and Montreal for the long weekend, we drove for 3 hours back and forth. I couldn’t cancel anymore the reservation, so we basically just slept in this chalet. I would recommend this place if you plan to just have a relaxing getaway and not going anywhere else. "

"Comfy beds. Wi-Fi was great. If you’re using Google maps load your destination into your phone before leaving the property… the cell signal is too weak when driving away from the property for the next 20 km or so, for Maps to work well. As a result, it’s easy to take a wrong turn and miss your tee time. "

"My family and I loved our stay at this cottage. The lake is so peaceful and beautiful, with tonnes of wildlife to enjoy, and great for stand up paddle boarding (my favourite activity was looking for turtles in the shallows while riding one of the paddleboards).  The cottage has comfortable bedrooms, a cozy living room, and a wonderful, well stocked kitchen. There are great views of the lake from the dining room, deck and yard. Val des Bois has lots of amenities, including two great ice cream places that my kids loved. We'd definitely come back. "We had a fantastic stay at this charming waterfront cottage. The space was spotless, spacious, and had everything we could possibly need for a relaxing getaway. The kitchen was impressively well stocked, the fire table was a cozy touch for evenings, and the dog run was a great bonus for our pup. It’s clearly a very pet friendly spot, which made it feel even more like home.The real standout was the waterfront. Crystal clear, calm, and perfect for swimming. We spent most of our days lounging by the water, soaking in the quiet and the views. The area is peaceful, with friendly but quiet neighbours, and the location is ideal. Just far enough from Ottawa or Gatineau to feel like a proper escape without being too remote. The host was helpful and quick to respond to any questions, and the place was easy to find with no issues at all. We’d highly recommend this place and are already talking about coming back."
