About Barton Farm
Barton Farm is a working vineyard and conservation property situated at the foot of the Hottentots Holland Mountains and bordering the Kogelberg Nature Reserve.
The farm is home to the Blue Crane, South Africa's national bird and one of Africa's most endangered species. Guests may be fortunate enough to witness these elegant birds performing their famous courtship dances among the vineyards and fields.
Getting Here
From Cape Town International Airport:

Take the N2 towards Somerset West.
Continue over Sir Lowry's Pass.
Pass Peregrine Farm Stall in Elgin and Houw Hoek Farm Stall.
Continue over Houw Hoek Pass.
Pass the first R43 turnoff to Hermanus.
Take Exit 90 toward Bot River.
Pass the Shell garage on your right.
Continue approximately 300 metres.
Barton Farm entrance will be on your right.

Travel time: Approximately 60 minutes from Cape Town International Airport.
Important Information
Wildlife

Barton is a working farm and nature reserve. Wildlife, including snakes, caracal, and leopard, may be present. Children must always be supervised outdoors.
Nearby Industrial Activity
A nearby brick factory occasionally conducts TNT blasting, which may sound like distant gunshots. This is normal and not a cause for concern.

Hot Tub Safety
Guests must ensure any hot tub fire is fully extinguished before retiring for the evening.

Smoking is not permitted indoors. A designated outdoor smoking area is available.
