Our stay at Steps to Short Beach was overall very enjoyable. The place was exactly as described, with comfortable beds and a practical, well‑equipped kitchen that made our days easy. We also loved the downstairs space — it’s a great spot to relax after the beach. By the way, note for the owner: The chairs at the roof top needs some TLC, please :)We did experience some noise from the upstairs tenants, including footsteps, late‑night activity (if you know what I mean), and occasional dog barking. It wasn’t overwhelming, but it’s worth noting for light sleepers.The only real downside was the cleanliness of the downstairs bedroom and bathroom areas. We found spider webs, dust, and even fingernails, which made it clear the space hadn’t been cleaned properly before our arrival. I guess it was missed or forgotten by the cleaning crew.That said, the owner was absolutely incredible — friendly, responsive, and genuinely welcoming. Her kindness made a big difference, and despite the cleaning issues, we would love to return because the location and hospitality were truly wonderful.

We stayed at this property for five nights, six days. It's an overall nice property for vacation, bedroom on first floor and another on the bottom floor, which is nice if your traveling with another couple/person there's plenty of privacy. Two bathrooms, comfortable dining room open into the living room. One thing we found to be very misleading was fenced in yard being listed and pictures that look exactly like a fenced in yard. The yard is not fenced in, there is a fence but it's not a fenced in yard. The driveway goes right into the yard, wide open space leading right into the street. We always travel with our two dogs and I was pretty upset they wouldn't have a place to freely run, since the rental is listed and photographed as such an open space. Second thing was we didn't received our keyless entry information until after the check in time, following having to email two different emails I could find listed with this property, then being told I should've texted and not emailed. Third thing was all outdoor furniture was removed half way through our stay without notice that it would be happening. It was a nice property overall, but I had to list our issues for anyone else preparing to travel with pets.
