"Rooms are clean and nicely appointed with great views and strong A/C. No hallway or elevator air conditioning so temps run warm. Pool is exquisite and pool bar has great menu. Hotel only reopened under new flagship in recent months after 7 year closure (was a Sheraton before). Some areas still under renovation but this is the best property in Sandakan by a long shot. Italian restaurant is coming. Buffet breakfast was just OK. Not many gluten free options and hot food was luke warm at best. Hotel is attached to the mall which is convenient."
