Welcome to our little piece of paradise in the mountains of Boone NC! A Mountain Dream Cabin is far enough from civilization to be secluded, yet close enough to town & local attractions to be more than convenient. Hurricane recovery update: From our Boone Area Chamber of Commerce with Town of Boone North Carolina and Explore Boone:
We welcome Appalachian State students back to Boone and our fall visitors are beginning to seek the beauty of autumn in the mountains once again.
Thanks to the tireless work of utility and construction crews, Boone and Blowing Rock have largely recovered from the storm’s impacts. Primary and most secondary roads have been repaired, though occasional lane closures and the need for alternate routes still exist in many areas.
Many of our retail and restaurant partners are open for business, including those in downtown Boone as well as other popular areas across the community. Please note that a curfew remains in effect from 11PM to 7AM daily throughout Watauga County
A Mountain Dream Cabin itself is fine too. Had a tree come thru the back porch roof but that has been patched. In the grand scheme of things we were very blessed/lucky that that was all the damage we incurred.
The resilience of our community and the outpouring of support from off the mountain has gotten us to this point. With all that being so eloquently said, we welcome you back to our community with open arms. The businesses and restaurants are very much look forward to serving you again and seeing your smiling faces!
Thanks! Terri

My best friend and I wanted to get away for the weekend and this cabin was PERFECT! Cozy and warm, with a beautiful view, it really made us feel relaxed and comfortable away from home. The hot tub was very clean and the amenities were as described. I would definitely book this cabin again!
My wife and I found Everything perfect, cozy, clean, and with plenty of room for us and our dogs. The hot tub was wonderful, and while we didn’t use the grill or fire pit, we will on a future visit. The extra drive from Boone was easy and worth it for such a beautiful and secluded spot, and comfortable house.
Beautiful and cozy cabin that was like a dream to stay in! Had everything you would want and not to far from restaurants, attractions and stores. Loved spending time in the hot tub overlooking the mountain tops. My teenager loved having the upstairs loft all to himself! Best of all, pet friendly so you don’t have to leave your fur babies at home. Owner very responsive and accommodating! Hope to return with my family in the future!
Wonderful, cozy little cabin for a quick mountain getaway. We were praying for a bit of snow, and God was graciously generous!! Even in sub-zero windchill temps, the hot tub was amazing and the cabin was warm and toasty. The host is perfectly responsive and friendly, and we had no complaints. Would definitely recommend.
My sister and I came to the area for my son’s wedding and wanted to make a long fall weekend visit out of it. We thoroughly enjoyed our time at Mountain Dream Cabin. The property was exactly as shown — clean, well-stocked. The owner was very responsive with communications. Location was close to Boone, Banner Elk, Valle Crucis, Grandfather Mountain and all other attractions. Will return.
The cabin was fabulous and the owner was receptive, prompt and extremely helpful! We prayed for snow and we were blessed with more than we wanted :-) Our rental couldn't make it up the mountain because it wasn't 4wd/awd. Even the neighbors were helpful! They stopped and offered assistance and another neighbor offered for us to warm up in their home. Overall, we couldn't be happier. Thank you!
Beautiful little place! Has all the amenities and in an extremely peaceful location. Had a doe and her fawn walk through the yard one morning. Great great stay!
The cabin was great. We had everything we needed for grilling a steak dinner one night. The hot tub was wonderful. Back porch was great for morning coffee, so peaceful! We saw deer in the yard every day.Very convenient to everything.
The Mountain Dream was everything we hoped it would be! We loved the cabin and the gas fireplace, we also really enjoyed the hot tub and and appreciated the cleanliness of it. We even got to see some wild deer and groundhogs roaming the area right by the cabin. It was a perfect getaway! We did notice the journal for everyone to write in was full so we couldn't catalog our stay unfortunately.
