Walk to downtown Banner Elk and enjoy all it has to offer... restaurants, breweries, shopping, ice cream and more.The winter sports enthusiasts in your group will be perfectly situated between the high country’s two best ski resorts, Sugar Mtn and Beech Mtn! Nestled in a quiet residential neighborhood and sitting high in the trees privacy abounds with this one! Enjoy your morning coffee on the large open deck or a meal prepared from the wonderfully stocked and updated kitchen. Relax with a glass of wine and good book off the master bedroom’s totally private deck! A wood-burning fireplace and complimentary firewood awaits for those chilly mtn evenings!
Beds are comfy with all new mattresses and linens. While the house sleeps 4 adults very comfortably an extra rollaway bed and futon are ready for the younger members of your group!!
A garage is available for our guests and much appreciated on those cold snowy days! High speed wireless internet is available to meet all your needs as well as smart TVs in the living area and both bedrooms.
This rental is the perfect getaway for all whether you just want to relax and stay in with all the comforts of home or enjoy all beautiful Banner Elk and her surrounding areas of the High Country have to offer! Be our guests! We have made it home for you! ~

*Please note the following
*One set of stairs IS required to enter the home.
*The driveway does have a slight incline but it is paved and very manageable by nearly all of our guests in any type vehicle. It is maintained by a snow plow in the winter when necessary according to winter weather conditions.
*There is one security camera on property. It is located outdoors by the garage and films the driveway only. This is important to us to be able to monitor our home when it is not occupied as well as to monitor winter driveway conditions for our guests. It enables us to know when to call our snowplow guy to come and take care of the driveway . There are no other cameras outside or inside of property.

Cozy weekend

This mountain cabin features wrap around decks that are nestled in rhododendron and offer some privacy. It is perfectly situated for a relaxing Banner Elk town visit, a Beech Mt. adventure, and treks into Boone. We enjoyed the games and snacks provided by the host. The house offered everything we were looking for. And the host was very proactively available.

Perfect Mountain Cabin

We thoroughly enjoyed staying in A Frame of Minds that was so easy to get to, first class in comfort, and very pleasing mountain decor that has a very thoughtful host. Plus after experiencing having a garage with a remote opener is now a must have especially in winter. We would stay here again.

Best Little Cabin in Banner Elk

This cabin is a favorite of ours. This was our second stay here. Each time the owner has always made the check-in and check-out process seamless. She always communicates in a timely manner to make sure you have all you need for your stay in the Banner Elk area. This cabin is conveniently located less than a mile from the Banner Elk town center making it easy drive to our favorite breakfast spot the Banner Elk Cafe. Our favorite feature of the cabin is the fireplace. We sat in front of it for hours just chatting. The owners also make sure you have plenty of wood to burn. We will definitely be heading back to this cabin in the near future!

Cabin was nice, clean just a bit pricey for the size since it is smaller than we thought. Lisa the manager was great to communicate with and had everything ready for us. We had a good time.

Nice cabin, close to town…walking distance to park and restaurants. Owners were very accommodating, allowing us to check in early. Special touches (basket of snacks, fans in both bedrooms for white noise, cute plush bears on the kids beds) made our stay with kids even better!

Great Location in Banner Elk

We had a great stay and Lisa was very responsive and made sure we had everything we needed at the cabin. The cabin is a short walk to the greenway that leads to downtown Banner Elk. Would definitely stay here again.
