"They have pictures of nice and clean beautiful rooms in the website but this is not true. The room smelled and it had little bugs in the bathroom and kitchen. The bathroom has mold and it was very warm. The towels had stains. I would not recommend this unless your on a very low budget. "

"Our second visit to Apparteo Bordeaux and equally enjoyable! The room on the top floor was spacious, clean, well equipped and comfortable with a great terrace for outdoor dining - very relaxing and appreciated as it was 30C+. A lot of renovation of the surrounding area makes for a very pleasant stay with loads of waterside restaurants, the lovely Halles de Bacalan and, of course the Cite du Vin. Can recommend taking the No. 4 bus from directly across the road to the Château de Pape Clemente...

"Very clean (excellent), well located house with plenty of space for families or friends. Pleasant view on a small vineyard Convenient with large area to prepare, and store, food. Good communication too made our two night stay very relaxing."

"After difficulty finding and getting to the barge. (I’d recommend contacting owners - you often need a code for locked gates to get quai side - they don’t give you this information so you need to request it) we found the setting beautiful. Loved the decor in the Art Deco room of the Barge. The hosts provide everything needed, even putting milk, butter and orange juice in the fridge on arrival which was a nice touch. "First of all it should be pointed out that the flat is in a senior citizens home. Slightly strange but unless you keep very strange hours then it's not a problem. The building is quiet and the parking is covered by CCTV. I|t's close to one of the major roads out of the city so if you have a car it's not a problem. Apartment is lovely and airy (no aircon). "Private, quiet, unpretentious but lots of history around the property. We spent most of our time alternating between the lovely pool and the cool of the house. Big family meals and parties. Although there were 20 of us the house rarely seems full. Highly recommend."

"The staff were genuinely friendly, and the bed was very comfortable—complete with a privacy curtain that made it feel cosy and private. I appreciated the spacious storage setup: two lockers and a drawer provided plenty of room for my belongings. Despite being in a bunk bed, I didn’t notice any squeaking or movement when someone used the top bunk, which made for a restful experience. The blackout shutter on the window blocked out light completely, and the road outside was quiet at night—perfect for uninterrupted sleep. The only thing I’d suggest is adding one more bathroom and shower room, especially for busier periods. Location-wise, it’s not too far from Bordeaux city centre. I actually enjoyed the 40-minute walk into town—it was a pleasant way to start the day. "

The restaurant is worth a visit just to sit back and look at all the quirky fixtures, the wallpaper on the columns is fantastic, the food served was just as good.
