Eichhaus Eifel

The eichHAUS Eifel is a half-timbered house dating from the 1800s. It was the main dwelling of a half-timbered farmstead typical of the region and is located in the center of Todenfeld on the former Kapellenplatz. Over the years, it has been renovated time and again; it even served as the village’s “corner store” until the 1980s, but it has never lost its original charm. The last major renovation took place in 2023, during which the house’s original features were combined with modern furnishings. The first floor features the entryway and the kitchen-living area with a modern kitchenette. A small wooden staircase leads to the upper floor, where you’ll find the living room with a sleeper sofa, the bathroom, and a separate bedroom with a large double bed. A baby crib can be provided upon request. The courtyard of the half-timbered farmhouse is available to guests, featuring outdoor furniture on a beautiful wooden deck. Additionally, guests can store their own bicycles here safely under a covered area. The eichHAUS Eifel looks forward to welcoming its guests and extends a warm welcome to them!
The eichHAUS Eifel is centrally located in the small village of Todenfeld, a suburb of Rheinbach. It’s the ideal base from which to discover the beauty of the Eifel. It’s also not far from the cities of Cologne and Bonn. The Nürburgring is 30 minutes away, and all the Eifel’s great attractions can be reached on day trips. The Ahr Valley is just a stone’s throw away and is flourishing again after the flood disaster. Every guest who samples the delicious wine there is helping with the reconstruction. Todenfeld lies at an elevation of 400 meters, and right behind the eichHAUS Eifel, beautiful hiking trails and challenging mountain bike tours begin. From here, you have a magnificent view of the Rhine Valley. You can see Cologne Cathedral as well as the Siebengebirge. You’ll also have a stunning view of the Volcanic Eifel. In the village itself, there’s a farm shop where you can buy all sorts of little things. In the neighboring village, easily reachable on foot, there’s a lovely farm café serving delicious hot dishes and cakes and pastries worth trying. Additional shopping options, as well as restaurants, pharmacies, and doctors, are located in Rheinbach, just 10 minutes away. There’s a lovely sauna complex in Holzweiler, just a few minutes away by car. Rheinbach features a beautiful recreational pool with an outdoor area, a diving pool, and a diving school. Bicycles can be parked safely and under cover in the property’s courtyard. So whether you want to go for a walk, hike, ride a road bike or mountain bike, engage in other sports, or simply enjoy the beauty of the Eifel while letting your mind wander, the eichHAUS Eifel is exactly the right place for you to feel at home!
